Northlakes Academy
Northlakes Academy Child Development Center opened its doors in August of 1981. We are a North Carolina Star Rated licensed center, receiving a 5 star accreditation based on staff education and program standards. Our purpose is to provide a safe, nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment for children to learn and grow.

We also participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program and therefore, serve healthy and nutritious meals and snacks. The first 2000 days of a child's life is a critical period of child development. These early years set the foundation for all the years to follow. We know from research children learn best while at play.
Services
Congratulations on the new addition to your family! We know that making the decision for child care for your infant is not an easy one. We strive to make the transition as easy as possible on both you and your baby. Each nursery teacher, floater and administrator is trained in Infant/Toddler Safe Sleep, as well as, first aid and CPR.
Three-year-olds are full of curiosity and questions. They are exploring the world around them and learning their place in it. We provide materials and learning opportunities to expand their knowledge of letters, numbers, math and science relationships, and social skills. We encourage parents/caregivers to visit the classroom to read a book, discuss their job, or have lunch.
Caldwell County Smart Start has partnered with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. This is exciting news for all residents of Caldwell County. The importance of reading to young children cannot be emphasized enough. Every child in Caldwell County can have a book of her/his own, at no cost to you, thanks to this partnership.

Wow the director is a joke. She does not know how to treat her staff to start with has women working 8 hours a day without a lunch break specifically people that need a lunch break for health reasons and then has other people taking 2-hour lunch breaks. That's just a start. It's it's pathetic to know that a director of a facility like this does not know how to properly schedule her staff
