Whether they are building a spaceship to blast off to Mars or sharing a story during group time, the opportunities are endless.
Services
Catawba Ridge Child Development Center was founded with the mission to provide quality daycare and nurture happy, successful children in a safe and loving environment. At Catawba Ridge CDC, we allow children to have hands-on learning experiences. This fosters age appropriate development. We read to the children everyday.
The professional staff at Catawba Ridge Child Development Center is committed to providing the highest quality care for your child. Ours is a team of talented and loving teachers and teacher assistants who work together to meet the developmental and emotional needs of your child. Ms. Alexis has been in the early childhood field for over 16 years.
The child's first three years are very critical for the development of the brain and language skills. Our goals of the Infant Program are to meet your child's individual needs while providing a developmentally age appropriate and stimulating environment. Our infant program provides a warm, nurturing atmosphere in which caregivers cuddle, rock, hold, play, and sing with your baby.
Our toddler curriculum provides a caring atmosphere with reassuring daily routines and stimulating activities that provide toddlers with a sense of safety and security. They learn through play, teacher assisted activities, and a lot of repetitions. Teachers provide opportunities for development of small, large motor skills and organize play activities to build concepts, listening skills, develop socially, and develop emotionally.
Children learn best through play. Two year olds are into experimenting and active exploration of new skills. They are usually aware of authority figures and rules although they are still dependent on adult approval. Appropriate activities such as language arts, social studies, math, and science provide the child with many opportunities to build a strong foundation of basic skills.

This place is just the best. My children have attended for the past four years and have learned so much. Ms Rachel has got to be the best Four year old teacher ever. My daughter's kindergarten teacher ask me if my child attended Catawba Ridge CDC and I said yes. She said that she just new that because my daughter was so well prepared for kindergarten. My son will be going to kindergarten next year and I can tell that he is going to be prepared for kindergarten too. Thanks for everything and a big shout out to all teachers there.

Catawba Ridge Child Development Center is a home away from home for my children. The staff is like a second family to them. There is no better feeling than leaving for work knowing your child is gonna be safe & have fun while learning! I highly recommend them to all!

I attended Catawba Ridge CDC as a child and both of my kids have attended. Ms. Rachel has been there since before I was there & she's great! Between two kids (now ages 5 & 7), I have encountered several teachers over the years. My kids have enjoyed their teachers and we haven't had bad experiences. In response to a previous review, the kids do sometimes move to different classrooms in the afternoons and that is because the main teacher usually comes in for the morning shift (starting at 6 am) and leaves early afternoon. The class at that point may separate and go to different classes with an afternoon

For the past 10 years my children have been enrolled at this center and I would highly recommend this center to everyone. Starting with the infant rooms all the way through to Pre-Kindergarten classrooms, they are great. Now my children are older and they attend before and after school programs and summer camp. These programs are wonderful and my children want to go everyday. They actually get upset if they cannot attend for some reason. The teachers are well trained and are very professional. One of the teachers told me one time that there training is far more advanced than what the state recommends

Some may love this place & thats great for them but this is my experience. My 2 year old granddaughter attended this place ONLY 3 days, we saw enough & removed her. So ok, toddlers cry. Separation anxiety is real, we understood there would be tears at first. But it was just a different type of cry. Along with her being soo unhappy, we were appalled at how unprofessional and lack of empathy some front ofc and some teachers had. To start, these people have never seen my face. I came one morning for a surprise visit to check on my grandchild. I was never asked to show ID or give my name. I gave my

I have a 3 year old daughter who has been at Catawba Ridge since she was 10 weeks old. I find the staff here to be excellent and my child can't wait to go to school everyday. Her current teacher does lots of art work and I am amazed weekly at the quality of stuff that is sent home. She is learning a lot. Recommend this place highly.
