Born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii, Melissa grew up in our lovely Hilo town. She attended St. Joseph Elementary and High School then graduated from Hilo High School. She also graduated from the University of Hawaii at Hilo with two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Administration of Justice.

One of the worst people to do business with. They ended up kicking a bunch of college students out of their home during finals week because they decided they wanted the house back short notice. They also did not let people off of the lease when it came down to peoples lives being in danger. Save yourself the trouble and go through someone who actually knows what they're doing. They are very unprofessional and do not know how to answer their tenants back. Wasted tons of money doing anything with them. They are also thieves and took more money out of our deposit then we initially owed them.

Initially she was very nice and helpful...but could never find anyone to answer her phones...and when we did get a response her office employee informed us that she was either at the gym, or hairdressers, or on another cruise!
We retained her services to manage several of our properties. On her website she claims that she is efficient and has her clients best interest, but...NOT ENTIRELY TRUE!

My experience with this woman have been mixed to negative . She seems competent but does whatever is best for her. If you are renting, the party that serves her interests best (tenant/owner) receives special treatment. The other is thrown to the wolves. She will authorize unnecessary repairs and upgrades if she likes a tenant and the owner is supposed to fork out for it. She always takes the path of least resistance. Most times you are not even consulted on a 'repair', she just sends them over and bills you for the unnecessary repair (upgrade). No say over what is done to your own house

There was a property that I was interested in, so I called. And called. And called. It is very difficult getting anyone on the phone. I finally spoke with Melissa's assistant and she did not want to help me, to say the least. This woman was rude on the phone, and even more rude in person. Because I didn't have the exact paperwork she wanted, I immediately became a hassle to her. She was very condescending.

We just signed a new lease for our new place. The place is great - the owner is really nice, we couldn't be happier. Melissa is our agent and I must say the service she has provided us has been a cut above the rest. Melissa is the best!
