EDIT: They took my security deposit and charged MORE MONEY. Including a $200 full apartment repaint which was absolutely not needed.
I kept emailing them about it to dispute the charge but they either ignored my mails or told me they’d look into it (they never did, and I was pretty much forced to pay).

Living at River Market is a mixed bag. The positives are that the office staff is friendly and the location is nice. However, the biggest issue is that we were charged for move out cleaning fees, then moved right into a new apartment with River Market with all kinds of issues. I can understand one or two things broken, but no, a whole list of things that are broken, dirty, dusty vents, as well as mold on the ceiling. There are things that must be routine inspection once people move out and should NOT be looked over. Broken things are a pain but can be worked through, however some things are health

Don't live here if you want to find a cozy apartment and want your deposit back! The appliances in the unit are old and rusty. The utility closet in our unit smells disgusting and there were several other issues. We called maintenance several times, but they never fix the problem. I did not want to give one star review or leave any reviews despite all the discomforts we felt when we lived in here, since the office and maintenance team was nice.
However, when we move-out, we were charged the exact amount of the deposit my roommate paid (only my roommate need to pay the deposit, but I still paid

First and foremost, the place is a dump, even by college apartment standards. Secondly, you will be charged with outrageous move-out “cleaning” fees upon your departure. They even had the audacity to claim the ENTIRE apartment needed repainting. RM management are downright greedy thieves pushing their own operating expenses on tenants. Run as far away as possible. I wouldn’t touch this place with a 5,000 foot rod. This building should be demolished in the name of public health and RM should be reported to the BBB for fraud. RUN

Had a very bad experience overall with Rivermarket. Their furniture and appliances are cheap and fall apart very quickly. You are expected to pay an outrages sum to replace or repair anything that falls apart after you touch it. You will also be charged a laughably large sum of money for move-out cleaning fees upon your departure. They expect the departing tenant to bear the entire expense of deep cleaning the apartment for the next upcoming tenant who moves in. The apartment had a sub par paint job to begin with but charged me to repaint the entire apartment upon departure. I attempted to call

When you leave they try and scam you out of any money they can. When you ask them questions about the "damages" to your property. They will ignore you so that way you are forced to pay otherwise they will send the collection agencies after you. Awful business practice. I can not recommend that you stay away from them enough.

The staff is hands down better than others in the area. You are close to campus and to many food options. The apartments are up well priced. Matinace does a great job with responding to issues, and coming through to inspect the heating and air and the fire alarm system. Lately they do have events such as snacks during finals and wine tasting, which is fun.

I've lived here for about 8 months, my roommate and I chose it after hearing great things from a friend. I've really enjoyed living here and it's about a 15-20 minute walk to campus. The office staff is super friendly and helpful. They have a lot of events, everything is very clean, and it's been fun living here!

Had my bike stolen and the office couldn't care less, yes, the bike was locked. I previously lived at The Lodge, had $100 stolen and they did everything to make it right. Moved in and there were cockroaches and it took the health department to tell them to get their act together before an exterminator was called. Walls are very thin. The laundry… room smells moist and the "dryers" are a ponzi scheme. After talking with the health department, I don't blame the employees at all. I think the owners are there for the money and the employees try, but have minimum to no back up/ support from the

I made sure to clean the whole apartment before I left and then got a whole itemized bill when I moved out for things I made sure to clean. Looking back I wish I wouldn’t have spent my whole day or put any effort into it and just left since I would have been charged either way. I was very unhappy with the whole move out process.
