Our stay was a unique experience. This was a total lodging hotel. Our entry to the hotel is by a door with an entry code. There is no interaction with people. It felt like I was staying in a hotel in the west in the early 1900s. All rooms are upstairs. The rooms were decorated circa early 1900s and accommodating. The unique part of the stay was the invitation to enjoy the town with wonderful cafe's, restaurants and stores nearby. They even provided wood flooring that creaked in the rooms when walking.

If you want to sleep, go somewhere else. There is an event space downstairs. The time my family stayed there were 2 events going on. The party and music was so loud to vibrated the walls. I called the number on the website the lady said she would tell the owner, 45mins later, nothing happened. At one point the music got so vulgar I had go to the party goers myself and ask them to tone it down due to I had children that could hear everything. Bottom line if you are looking to sleep after a long day, don't stay here.

I think my family used every inch of this incredibly wonderful venue. Our son and daughter-in-law were married there and it could not have been any better. The wedding was in the Courtyard. We served appetizers and dinner in the Sunroom. Reception and dancing in the Music Hall. Walked right upstairs to spend the night after sending off the happy couple! The staff there is the absolute best. Attentive, helpful, patient, all questions were responded to promptly and they worked really hard to accommodate all those oddities that occur with weddings. If there were more stars I'd rate them higher. Can

Pros: This place is charming and cute. Nice linens, large space, nice bed. Clean. Beautifully decorated. In downtown Monroe by all the shops. The main contact lady is WONDERFULLY RESPONSIVE!
Cons: WARNING if you are a light sleeper do not stay here.. I was up my second night (Saturday) without a wink Of sleep... (first night I took a Benedryl for allergies That helped), but the road noise from trucks, loud cars in the area, STREET CLEANERS, it was awful. And if you are looking for a full experience in a B&B this is not it.. this is more like Airbnb private room.. there is a common fridge and coffee

This is my first time in this lovely hotel. It is newly renovated and boasts well appointed rooms. The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Monroe,Ga. Although there is no cafe in the hotel, it is within walking distance of several excellent restaurants and lots of fine boutiques are nearby. Room rates are reasonable. All in all a pleasant stay.

My wife and I found this place while we were looking for a place to stay the night after finding out that most if not all the hotels in Athens were filled up because of a school conference. The hotel is great the person taking the calls answered right a way and we had a room a wonderful room or should I say suite. Clean with a coffee bar and lite munchies great find stayed an extra day or two 10 thumbs up you will not be disappointed staying here right in the city of Monroe.

Neat hotel in beautiful downtown Monroe. We stayed in the Walton suite and it was perfect. Conveniently located next to Amici Monroe as well as other restaurants/cafes and retail locations. The room was clean, amenities very nice, bed was very comfortable, and overall atmosphere was relaxed. Will definitely stay here again and am looking forward to it!

I've never stayed in a small, restored hotel like this - and I'm very happy I did. I was in town on business and wasn't sure what I would find here.
I arrived late on a weekday night, and called the hotel (there really isn't anyone on duty) and they responded right away to my questions. I entered a door code, climbed about a dozen stairs (be aware: there is no elevator), and retrieved my key from a hallway table.
I stayed in the Georgia room, which was actually a two-room suite. Even though this was a restored building, the furnishings and the bathroom were high quality

We went to a birthday party in the back party room from the hotel or hours hall. This was rented out by the group and could hold a large group for events, probably 200 people. The place could appear run down or rustic, depending on your opinion. In some spots the walls were exposed to show brick or concrete. There was a nice outside courtyard area that can be used for extra mingling or games. It may be difficult to access the entrance if the main street door is closed (sign says party is in the back) and having to walk all around the building. It was not clear where the restroom. Overall, it was

I stayed at the Wayfarer last weekend when I was in Monroe for a wedding at the Engine Room. I spent the first half of my trip downtown in Athens, but ended up enjoying my stay here so much more. Bang for the buck, I think that the Wayfarer was an awesome choice.
A day before my stay, I got an email from the hotel with a code for the front door and instructions for check in. I was coming in a little late, so there was no one to check me in to the hotel really, but they left a key for me.
I booked the Broad room, which was the room overlooking Broad Street. The room was decorated beautifully.

My bridesmaids and I stayed here the night before my wedding in the Walton Suite and it was beautiful! The bed was huge and soft, there were plenty of pillows, towels and plenty of space. Our suite had a large bedroom and a living room space with a pullout sofa the bathroom pretty large as well and had a jet tub. It's a small hotel with a door that you'd easily miss when driving past, but once you find it and make your way inside, you'll fall in love. It's rustic/classic southern decor is beautiful. It's quiet inside and a small kitchen area with a large refrigerator. I was a bit worried about

This hotel was definitely an interesting experience. My husband and I stayed here on our wedding night. We didn't know that the music hall downstairs would be playing music, but it stopped around 11:15. It was pretty enjoyable. I didn't see any hotel staff so if you're looking for that, you might be disappointed. They do have a kitchen with a fridge that is stocked with soda and some peppermint patties that is available to use. Overall, everything was clean and very nice. We had a wonderful time!
