Even leading up to my surgery I got phone calls from the staff to go over my cost and the time I need to arrive as well as the anesthesia doc called me the night before to make sure I wasn't nervous!
Seriously they took such good care of me I am so thankful! I wish i can give 10 stars! The nurses were fantastic as was my anesthesiologist. Newport Beach Surgery Center charges a facility fee for each surgical procedure performed by your surgeon. This fee includes the cost of nursing personnel, medications, supplies and the use of the operating and recovery rooms, specialized operating room monitoring equipment and use of the admitting and discharge rooms.
The Staff at Newport Beach Surgery Center is committed to making your experience pleasant, comfortable, and safe. Follow the guidelines below so you will be prepared for your upcoming procedure. Poorly managed as a business and low office morale between staff, including a high turn over rate. Manager and human resource are bias, the surgeons here are always available, salaries are high for them and the surgery center, beware because they work highly on incentives. They have a district attorney that works directly for them so there is not a patient or advocate when something goes wrong, please read arbitration forms carefully!!!

Dr. Nyugen the main anesthesiologist thinks he's too good to talk to patients directly and does not return calls to discuss anesthesia and the procedure with patients beforehand. Never have I had an anesthesiologist not consult with the patient regarding their care! Also, his approach to my surgery (using spinal anesthesia) is OVERKILL for a 10 minute procedure when I discussed his choice with my own anesthesiologist and others. Seems untalented and arrogant. Funny how NBSC states on their website that they provide personalized care depending on the person, but they're really textbook and difficult

The nurses who cared for me are memorable. The best that ever cared for me. I will never forget their kindness. They were very thorough and professional yet personable. Julie F., Jen, Gina, and there were 2 more who would be with me while in surgery. They all introduced themselves and I really appreciate that. The anastysiologist also introduced himself and walked me through. Thank you to everyone. You gave me an excellent experience.

The moment I walked in the doors of Newport Beach Surgery Center I felt at ease and confident, that I will be well taken care of. The nursing staff and the anesthesiologist were the best. Lisa, one of my assigned nurses, immediately brought me a warming blanket since I got cold. After surgery
they called my husband and walked me out the door to make sure I was not too drowsy.
