Review is for the staff and organization of booking an appointment and pricing policies not to the doctor himself.
Such a weird experience. My best friend who I work with went there to solve the medical issue when she had something in her eye. She went through full eye exam and was treated with drops. (She has a good vision so she was not needed a prescription). She was estimated $70 over the phone and was charged $100 at the end.
When I called them in a month to make a similar appointment for my mother (her eyes got inflamed and itchy) I was estimated $300 for an exam.

Fantastic eye doctor. Dr. Vrouvas is highly skilled and very personable. I love that he invests in technology and incorporates it thoughtfully into his work. I have a strong prescription and benefit from the extra information the high tech scanning and his skill in using it provides. I recommend him to all my friends and colleagues all the time.

Dr. Vouvras is a friendly eye expert whose depth of knowledge and willingness to share insights into my eye health and condition is much appreciated. His exam includes an optical scan (most optometrists don't have) that produces a high resolution image of the internal eye that may reveal underlying health conditions and that can be compared to prior years. I always feel well taken care of at his practice.

Great eye doctor. My eyes have become more and more complicated through the years and Dr. Vrouvas takes his time and ensures everything's right. I had a list of problems with the contacts and glasses I was previously prescribed from my last eye doctor and he fixed all of them. If you care about your eyes (as you should) go here.

The annual exams are very thorough, using the latest high-tech equipment with an explanation of their purposes, results, what to watch out for, and what to do if ever I feel symptoms that might indicate a serious issue.
The doctor is also knowledgeable about insurance and makes sure there is no unnecessary expense.
All this in a very clean, comfortable environment with pleasant staff.

Having been long overdue for an eye appointment, I came across reviews of Dr. Vrouvas...and everything looked great. Sometimes when you see so many glowing reviews you think, "It can't all be true". Well, in this case it was all true.

Dr.Vrouvas has been my eye doctor since I moved to SF in 2009 and I've recommended him numerous times. He is a wonderful doc that's taken great care of my eyes. His office staff is also very helpful and responsive - they've helped me pick out my new glasses and assisted with making the most of my insurance dollars.

I came for a routine check-up, my first in an embarrassingly long time (like, 15+ years). Everything about the experience (making the appointment, dealing with the staff, the exam itself and interaction with Dr. Vrouvas) was just so pleasant! As someone who had Lasik when it was pretty brand new (and then stupidly procrastinated on attending to his eye health ever since), my main goal was to feel secure about my how my eyes are doing or whether there were any possible issues or problems down the road, and this outfit has the right combo of up-to-date technology and decades-of-experience competence

I had my first visit with Dr Vrouvas after finding him on my provider list. I'd like to say that he was fantastic and exceeded my expectations. His clinic was equipped with the latest technology. He was very friendly and thorough. He even explained different eye conditions to me. His clinic is near Union Square, near my office and that made it more convenient.

I have been a patient of Dr. Vroubas for many years. I see him every year for my annual check up. He is very thorough with his examinations and always takes the time to explain to me the results of the tests. He always finds the time to ask about my health in general and how it relates to the tests. He shows me comparisons of the tests from previous years. I'm never kept waiting for my appointments. His staff is very cordial, friendly and professional. I wouldn't want to see anybody else even though I have moved out of the city.
