Macdonald Family Eye Care

The experience overall has been great except the fact that if you need more contacts they act as if it is a controlled substance and ask for you to come in for an eye exam. I have astigmatism and get a 6 month supply. Eyesight has not changed in 7 years. Also, the fact that they are ALL fully "vaccinated" but asks people to mask after the fact that was proven that masks do not work (science) and are forcing people to wear them is discrimination. We live in a free republic and is our choice to wear a mask or not. They are "vaccinated" and "masked" up and people who choose to wear masks have them

Staff is friendly. Ordered frames from third party to get my lenses filled. They sent it to the lab. It broke. That's fine. Ordered another pair. May 13, I called in to schedule an appointment to get them filled. Not sure what woman I spoke to, but I asked for Monday. They said they aren't available Monday because it's clerical work day. She then suggested Tuesday 5/18 at 10a because that's when the lens cutter is there. So I went ahead and booked. 5/18 comes and I'm standing outside because they don't open until 10:30. Then I come in and they pull up my file. They tell me the lens cutting guy

Been a customer for years but their response to Covid 19 is over the top, horribly conservative and renders their customer service unusable. After waiting in my black car for 20mins, I was forced to wait outside in the FL sun for 10-15 mins due to their locked door lobby policy (an over response IMO as we were all masked - Mind you I can board a plane and dine in a restaurant, and wait at an airport gate - but not an eye care shop with 5 people in the lobby). Thanks so much to the Macdonald family. They helped me through every step and everyone was extremely friendly. I’ve never written a review before but they deserve it. I’m an indecisive person but Sharon and everyone else helped me decide on some lenses. Sharon was an angel and I 10/10 recommended coming here.

I highly recommend this practice because  of the personalized treatment and pleasant team .I had a hard time making a decision and even though they were really busy they took the time to help me and educate me about my lenses.Dr MacDonald was very detailed and took the time to explain details about what to expect with my new prescription. Awesome place and great prices!

I want to edit a bit more about this experience. I have since been in contact with Sharon twice, who has been beyond nice in helping me in this adjustment to my glasses. In fact, they reached out to me after Dr. MacDonald had seen the review. It is good to know somone reads them and is actively wanting to help remedy the situation. All in all, this is a good practice and I am sure once COVID is in the past, things will return to normal. I appreciate them taking the time to reach out.
My eye exam, glass fitting was great. However, that point on has been an epic fail. I paid $300 for eyeglasses

This is by far the best place for an eye exam and to get glasses (if needed)in the Central Florida area.
The doctor is super friendly and takes the time to answer any and all questions you have.
The staff is amazing! Darice patiently worked with all three of my kids as they chose frames and made sure that they were perfectly fitted.
We got our glasses in a a short amount of time and once again, Darice met with each of my kids and made sure they were just right. Everyone is thrilled with their new glasses.
I will never go anywhere else!

MacDonald Family EyeCare has been my go-to for my annual checkups since moving to Winter Springs. The office staff are always friendly and helpful and the doctor is straight to the point, but personable. They respect my time, getting me in on time for my appointment (or early if they can) and they ship my contacts direct to my home. An added benefit is that they price match the online stores, so I can support a locally owned office without having to break the bank.

If you are looking for a great place to get an eye exam, look no further. My husband and I were searching online for eye doctors near our area and MacDonald Family EyeCare had great reviews so we decide to schedule an appointment. We are so happy that we did. The experience was fenomenal, the whole staff was friendly, professional and ready to answer all of our questions and concerns. They have a broad selection of frames and prices to choose from. We give it 5 stars and recommend it a 100%

They are friendly and do a thorough eye exam. I definitely would recommend them. As others have stated, their glasses are expensive if you compare them to 20/20 eye glasses, Wal-Mart, etc. , but you get what you pay for. It would be nice if they would offer a super sale once in awhile so those of us that would like to have more than one pair can afford to do so. And have a better selection of day $99 frames. Other than that, that's my only complaint/suggestion
