The brief descriptions below are designed to familiarize you with our staff's training, professional credentials and work experience. Dr. Gelder was born and raised in Salem, OR and graduated in 2002 from dental school at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland.
After graduation he spent four years with the Navy, first in California where he completed a General Practice Residency gaining post-graduate experience in all areas of general dentistry at the Naval Hospital, Camp Pendleton.After that it was off to Japan where he spent three years stationed at the Marine Air base at Iwakuni.

We are super impressed with Dr. Gelder and his staff. Everyone was kind and helpful when we brought the whole family in for new patient exams. My son (3 1/2) needed a tiny filling and Dr. Gelder was able to do it right then. He talked my son through it in a way that a little boy can relate to and filled his tooth quickly and painlessly. My son proudly shows everyone his filling now and was not scared at all.

New patient visit and cleaning. This place felt great. The people, rooms, art and energy were perfect for me. Nothing flashy, but everything was nice, clean and looked good. The dentistry and cleaning were detailed and comfortable. I've been to a few dentists around the country and this team is one of the best.

I’ve been cared for by these folks since I moved to Sequim three years ago, and every visit has been a good one. When a 40-year-old amalgam filling finally gave way and split a molar, the dentist fixed me up with a perfectly fitting cap. Hygienist Sara is a gem—careful, skillful, friendly, and always sure to communicate what she’s doing and why. Administration is accurate and efficient, so no problems with Delta Dental paying my bill.
