We try very hard to make your child's treatment physically comfortable and enjoyable. All of our care is based on the behavior management technique Tell-Show-Do. This management technique prepares your child for dental treatment by telling and showing your child what we are going to do before we do it.
During all visits, we believe in giving your child lots of praise. We begin the first visit by introducing the office environment and the staff. For children two and above, we recommend an oral examination, a cleaning, the application of fluoride, and any necessary radiographs (x-rays). After a thorough study of our findings, we will prepare and discuss a treatment plan for your child's dental needs.

Examination: An examination involves more than looking at teeth. The health history reviews the general health of your child and indicates whether there is any need for special dental care. The examination charts health and disease and is used to provide a diagnosis and treatment plan for your child.
It is never too late or too early to think about orthodontics. Whether your child is just starting grade school or college, we would like to give you the information necessary for your child to have a beautiful smile that lasts a lifetime. Improving the relationship of upper and lower jaws, allowing more normal future growth and development.
According to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), your child should visit the dentist by his/her 1st birthday or at least 6 months after the eruption of the first tooth. Beginning dental care at an early age allows guidance for caring for your child's teeth and opportunities to address preventive issues that are important for healthy teeth and a pleasing smile.
If your child has a problem requiring emergency treatment, please call the office so that we may see your child immediately. If the emergency arises at a time other than regular office hours, call the office at 410-484-4401 for a recorded message providing instructions on how to contact our doctor on call.
If the procedure was in the upper jaw. the teeth, lip and surrounding tissue will be numb or asleep. Often, children do not understand the effects of local anesthesia, and may chew, scratch, suck, or play with the numb lip, tongue, or cheek. These actions can cause minor irritations or they can be severe enough to cause swelling and abrasions to the tissue.

I really like this dentist office. They do a great job with making the kids comfortable, showing them the instruments before they start the procedures and talk them through what's happening. I also like the praise and encouragement they give while working which helps keep them comfortable and NOT scared of the dentist. My kids ask about going back to the dentist. The "treat bags" are a plus too.

Changed insurance after being there 9 years and no flexibility with us. Our new insurance paid them more than our old plan, but still wanted full amount even over what was reasonable and customary. So wasn't enough to be paid more through insurance, since we were now "out of network" they charged us the maximum they could even though they were already getting more than before. I would of understood if they were getting paid less, but they were making more and just said pay the maximum or leave. So we left. Greed over loyalty to patients.

Pretty dissatisfied with this office's in and out practices for purposes of getting in as many patients as possible. Yesterday, my son was scheduled to have his 3 cavities filled. His dentist claimed my son was "goofy" and could get only one cavity filled. I didn't want to argue with him in the office, so I agreed to another appointment to allow them to bill our insurance for a procedure that should have been done during our appointment.

My daughter’s first visit was today and it was nothing short of amazing! Everyone was genuinely friendly. The office was clean and is definitely the most kid friendly office I have ever seen. My daughter loved it! I was with my previous dental office for over 10 years and one of the best things Kids Dentist did was misinform me about my daughter’s teeth. Otherwise, I would never had found this amazing pediatric dentistry!
