I got some brake pads replaced here and price was reasonable. The whole process was very easy and the staff is very friendly. I mostly spoke to Chris and he was so helpful especially for someone like myself who admittedly don’t know what I’m doing when it comes to cars. I’m glad I came here!

I was introduced to the Douglas team in Crystal Lake by my father who knew about cars and took care of our family cars until technology took over. They earned his trust and now they have earned mine. This was the first time I used Douglas Automotive, recommended by a friend. I found everyone very friendly and professional. They gave me a detailed report of what needed fixing right away and what could wait. After the work was done my vehicle has been running better than it ever has, in my possession. Brought my truck in for a running board that wasn't working. Thought I would need to replace the motor. After the mechanic looked at it, he found a bad electrical plug connector. I was shocked & so happy that I didn't need a new motor. Just wanted to say I'm so pleased with the service I received. Also a big thanks to Mike & Ty and the mechanic who worked on my truck. Will definitely be back with my other vehicles.

I ended up bringing my vehicle here after my car began leaking coolant all over the ground. While not my normal mechanic, they were still able to get me in within a timely manner and give me a diagnosis. While the repair was very expensive and I didn’t go through with it, they still treated me professionally and took very good care of my piece of **** vehicle.
I’m glad I made it here. And the guy who handled my vehicle was Mike, highly recommend him.

These guys are the best! I would never take my car anywhere else. They are trustworthy to diagnose the real issue and fix it as cost effectively as possible. You don't have to worry about them taking advantage of their customers. Besides fixing anything that breaks, when we were considering a used car, we brought it to them and they did a complete inspection so we were confident that we were getting the car we wanted. On top of that, they are friendly and professional. When they provide an estimate of the work, you can be confident you'll pay that price or less.

I was looking for a shop that we could trust to do the work of my daughters car and my wife had a friend who had taken their car to Douglas many times. I have to say I was very impressed with the professionalism and the impressive repair shop. Not only did they do you want what is required to repair the car, they did it in a timely matter. I would not hesitate to bring my cars there in the future for any further repairs that I would need. And I would recommend this to my family and friends.
