I’m writing in regards to an incident that occurred to my 83 year old mother. After speaking with her and she telling me that an Amazon Fraud agent gained access to her computer I became concerned and headed over to her house. As I was driving to her home I called Tech2U as I was concerned that she had been scammed. My first review for 2022! Thank you Tech 2U. Brought my laptop in at the tail end of 2021 due to a non responsive keyboard that was making it extremely difficult to complete school work. Despite being backed up with work the techs found a way to work within my schedule of needing the laptop back and providing a great overall experience. I ended up having to replace the entire keyboard which cost $99 for the part and then $164 (after a $15 coupon). The cost was not the issue for me, I needed my laptop to get me through this last semester without any issues. The employees at Tech2u were super professional

Very happy with Tech 2U's service. I'd use them again & would recommend to friends & family. I called in the afternoon & they were able to schedule a tech to come out 2 days later in the morning. It wasn't something they could diagnose remotely because my computer wasn't booting up. Pricing was quoted over the phone & was reasonable. Joe was very professional when he came out to diagnose the problem. He answered all my questions, took the computer back to the shop, fixed it, upgraded the OS & added RAM per our discussion. I have used Tech 2U for a few years off and on for very minor issues and will not be using them again especially based on my last experience. They have never been great but now they have grown and gotten way too big and their customer service and expertise has plummeted as a result. Their business model is horrible. When you call they will set up an appoinment for a tech to call you back which is usally a couple of days or more away. When they call you for your appointment (its never when they are suppose to) they have you sit there why they have remoted in and they do nothing on your computer

I did not have a great experience with this place. They misdiagnosed my laptop issues and cost me an extra $150 for the services that were not needed. Also almost made me pay $172 for a service that was not going to fix the issue. I have an Acer Aspire laptop that was having issue with it not charging. The first time I went they told me I needed a new charger so I bought a charger through them. Try the new charger and still the same issue. Battery was not charging. Then they did a diagnostic test and said a brand new battery was needed. So I ordered a brand new battery through them (almost $80

I am a business owner with a semi complex tech setup. The techs at Tech 2U know their stuff. A few years ago our server crashed, due to bad maintenance by the former tech company. All the warning signs were there that the drives were going out, but nothing was done. Had I known these were warning signs I could have done something. Out of the blue, everything in my documents file post early May disappeared. Much of it is business stuff for my law practice. These guys did a complimentary walk through in a chat which enabled me to find where the files had migrated to. They're not in the same order they were before, but the latter wasn't exactly what it could have been. They offered that if I have further problems to do a free remote take over of the computer.

After spending $400 on two work orders since March 2020 while having to telework, my laptop hard drive crashed in November. The quote was $500. They are just too expensive for me anymore. I am so bummed about my laptop - they loaded it with the best firewalls and security and I was happy with that service . The second service was user error and took a little too long and $100. to just undo the error. Wish I could afford them.

I recently purchased a refurbished Macbook Pro for my daughter in college. It specifically stated no warranties with purchase however when my daughter tried to unplug the power cord, it immediately died. Shawn diagnosed it as a bad battery, ordered a new one free of charge and came in about a week later to have them install it. Shane another tech installed and tested new battery as good to go. Rob was the dispatcher who coordinated with his technicians to have me taken care of. If you treat all your customers like me than I understand the 4.5 star rating.

I have used Tech2U 3 times now, and have been happy with each visit. During this difficult Corona-19 time, I knew where I had to go when my main computer just would not power up. I took it in to the shop on Lake Murray Drive, talked the the Tech, explained the situation. He informed me that turnaround time was about 14 days, due to lost employees during this time. He was right on, and I picked-up about 2 weeks later. Price was pleasant, and he provided the old parts. Very happy, will recommend to anyone that asks.

I've used Tech 2U on several occasions for computer repair, the last time was this month. My desktop was getting quite old and needing replacement. Levi consulted with me on my options and I decided to have Tech 2U build me a new one. The service and communication from Levi and his Technician ( sorry, but forgot his name ) was outstanding. They transferred all my files from my old to new computer, including bookmarks and other important items. It was so thorough that when I started using the new computer, it was like sitting down at my old one, only with vastly improved speed and operation

I called Tech 2U because I wanted work done on my computer remotely. The person that took my call was very friendly and professional The technician that helped was able to resolve the problem and I was very happy with the service. I will definitely be calling on them again if needed.
