Services
When she was a little girl, Dr. Stephanie wanted to be an elephant (her spirit animal) trainer when she grew up because they live such long lives and experience human-like emotions. Fortunately for us, she became a veterinarian! Dr. Stephanie is a Kentucky native as well who attended Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine after completing her undergraduate degree at UK.
New smells, unfamiliar faces and unusual surroundings make leaving home very stressful for pets. Wilderness Trace Veterinary Clinic understands the emotional toll trips to the vet can take on animals, so we actively develop great relationships with each of our patients. At our one-stop small animal clinic, your pet will start to feel more comfortable in our care.
Meet TJ, our beautiful Persian (reminds you of the famous Fancy Feast cat). TJ's family noticed him not wanting to eat very well. After his oral exam TJ was found to have resorptive lesions (similar to cavities in people). TJ had his teeth cleaned and had oral surgery with 2 teeth extracted. This is what he looks like 2 weeks post extractions.
NexGard, is a new oral medication for dogs that protects against fleas and ticks. This product is the ONLY product on the market that has an oral tick claim. This beef flavored chewy is a ONCE a month tablet that helps treat and prevent fleas and ticks. Please remember female fleas can lay up to 50 eggs a day, so one treatment is NOT the answer.

I’m a new client to them and will be a client for life! I’m not a new pet owner and have been to multiple vets. You get a very personal level of service here and very competent as well.

Very! Great! Veterinarian. Major my half rot half husky ate a rope and some plastic. Dr Stephanie was a God sent. She removed the rope and plastic. She made Major feel at home, she treated him as if he was family, me as well. Zack was there by Majors side to help the whole way, he took the time to thoroughly explain and answered all my questions and concerns. I would say they treated him/me like family. I would give 6 stars but it only let me put 5. God bless Dr Stephanie and her staff.

Very friendly and efficient staff! I especially appreciated the assistance from reception when I called to set an appointment and how sweet the groomer was with my very anxious cat. Will be returning and would definitely recommend!

You can tell she not only loves animals but, also her job and what she is doing to care for your fur•babies . I feel 100% confident in things she has done to care for my babies and my mom's. This veterinarian clinic is a wonderful place we have found to take our kitten babies. We had a bad experience with Wilkey in liberty ky and had to bring our kitten here to undo and repair a terrible job of spaying that Wilkey performed which made us very untrusting of the professionalism of vets but thank goodness the staff at Wilderness trace treated us with professional courtesy and took care of our kitten baby. We are grateful for the professional care Dr. Raispis and staff gave our kitten and the patience understanding and kindness they have shown us. Our trust was restored by Wilderness Trace
