Willie A Watkins Special Event
Established in 1982 in Atlanta's Historic West End community, the Willie A. Watkins Funeral Home brand is synonymous with service. We are a full service funeral home providing individualized funeral services designed to meet the unique needs of each family. Holding a funeral or memorial service for your loved one is a positive first step in the grieving process.
Services
A funeral or memorial is a customary way to recognize death and its finality. Funerals are held for the living to show respect for the dead and to help survivors begin the grief process. They also give mourners a chance to share stories, create memories, fulfill religious beliefs & customs, participate in a support system, and gather at a peaceful place during a time of confusion and uncertainty.
Holding a funeral or memorial service for your loved one is a positive first step in the grieving process. Family members and friends get a chance to say their goodbyes, and at the same time, they get to share strong feelings with one another. In the days, weeks and months following the service, people continue to need others to lean on for understanding, encouragement and guidance.

This review will be short and sweet.
Willie Watkins Funeral Home took care of my cousin's final arrangements.
This funeral home is the epitome of A-1, 5 star treatment.
Most embalmers have the deceased either looking different, or totally botch up the process.
Not in this case! My cousin looked the same as he did in life. It looked like he was simply sleeping.
That just shows the expertise and professionalism of this funeral home.

My uncle passed away recently and i will say that willie watkins funeral services in riverdal georgia made things so easy for us during this tough time. Sister Zakkiyah made the process easy and painless. From the intake process to the ride to the burial site became an afterthought. My only complaint was that the facilities for washing the body in the Islamic way couldve been better, as the same room we washed bodies was the same room they stored bodies. There were two deceased covid patients and that startled some of my family. If they can make their facilities more Islamic friendly, i would definitely

I came to pay respects to my Friend's Father and was greeted with such professionalism by the young lady. This Funeral home is a pillar of Atlanta and they did a wonderful job preparing Mr. Justice for viewing. Looked like he was sleeping peacefully.

We paid for my father in law's funeral upfront. The insurance company sent them a check for the funeral too. Basically they got paid twice. They did everything they can to try to avoid giving us our money back. After two weeks of my husband calling them to try to get our money back, I had to go down there with him and threaten to call fox 5 just to get our money back. I would never recommend anyone to them. We're already grieving and now you're trying to steal from us.

I just called asking about my friend's service. First the lady that answered cut me off while I was providing her name; she then proceeded to tell me that the wake was tonight and the funeral was tomorrow!!!! I panicked because I knew her family would not be able to be here until in time. I repeated my friend's name and asked her if she was sure of the deceased name, she said, " you mean the 13-year old girl??" I said no, and I repeated my friends name again. She said oh no, I think that's on Saturday; I don't know the time but you can call the family!!!! HUH??!!!

As a seasoned professional florist of 44 years, and delivering florals to every atlanta funeral home, today, i have never witnessed such rude, unprofessional and unaccommodating "young" associates. customer service at its worst! unprepared and unwilling to help a vendor, the rude receptionist even would not allow me the opportunity to use her phone, to verify what was already correct on my part.......... they were in error!. they did not have the corpse on ledger and was unaware of his being there. a different story was told to the family, who happen to be a friend. this 0 rating is not

I would like to start by saying that from the moment I walked in the door of the Willie A. Watkins funeral home I was INSTANTLY impressed! During my first appointment I only sat down for less than 1 minute when I was approached by Mr. Willie Watkins himself. He asked if I had been helped and I let him know that I was waiting to see an associate, but he insisted that I would no longer wait and helped me immediately. After seating me in the conference room, he explained the services he could offer. Then he brought Kelvin into the room to finish the meeting, but made sure I was happy with the

Giving 3 out of 5 stars for the same purposes as my review on the Douglasville location. It's a black owned business that has had good customer service each time my family has used their services. They also offer pre funeral arrangements so you can pay for your services before hand and don't have to burden your family with the financial responsibility. There is a chapel at this location to hold your service it's dated and needs some renovation. They have a several seating areas and can accomodate 3 funerals at once from what I've seen or maybe they were wakes, none the less

I want to a wake at Willie Watkins Funeral Home on Friday 1/31/14 and I was unhappy with the parking lot. The parking lot is not adequate half of the lot is not paved. I had to park on mud. My shoes had mud on them from having to walk in mud to get into the building. Mr. Walkins Please pave your entire parking lot! Also during the wake there was no staff person in attendance most of the time. A video was played of the deceased featuring pictures and music. It was supposed to show on all 4 TV's it only showed on one (1). The family was told that it would show on all screens. A staff

As you see there are only 2 reviews since 2012, which I've already gave my ratings of my husband services. But as I reviewed its no longer posted, it's funny how so called house hold named funeral home of Atlanta you only have two. My complaints were that the business side was very deceitful and I could never trust this company with any of my family and friends. There casket pricing is worst than a used car sells man trying to pass off a lemon. I would suggest of price checking with a casket whole seller witch isn't hard, and after choosing a casket do not inform the director of

We used the services of this company recently.. This organization is very well run. All of the people I interacted with were nice, professional, and they made a difficult situation less painful. Also they have fair rates. But more than anything worth noting is the level of service that we received. You need good service, but especially when you're grieving. They do a lot of the hard work. You just have to provide them with some basic information. It's amazing how easy they make the process which allows you to move on with your life while saying goodbye to your loved one. I will recommend
