I grew up in Lancaster, New York, a small suburb outside Buffalo, New York. In 1991, I received by undergraduate degree in Biology from Binghamton University. After graduating, I worked in biology research for a year and then decided research wasn't for me. I wanted to have more patient contact and a hands-on relationship with the people I could help.

First the place i tucked away in a large but almost empty strip mall across for Best(or whatever is there now) Buy @ regency. So I found it and got checked in after a bit. So when I got to go bad with my wife (she's the blind one) We saw the per doctor got this got that done and then we waited for the real Doc. She came in and whisk us way to the exam room. Here is where she looked way back inside my head. She told me that my eyes are pretty good. I then asked where I could find the longer arms for reading. That's a different doctor she said. Ok the wife's turn. So read this line

I read the many reviews of Val-Uvision and had used the service in Orange Park many years ago and decided to give the one at Regency a chance. I found everyone to be Very friendly yet very professional in the services that they provided. Brittany walked me through all my preliminaries and made me feel at ease. Dr Delcampo gave me the a thorough exam and got me ready for Sandy, the young lady that helped me choose the right glasses for my face and get me everything my insurance provided. Thanks guys

I have been going to VALU VISION for approximately five years. Unfortunately, sometime in August I ran out of my contacts and called to order new ones. After speaking with the representative she informed me that she would order my Contacts. As per trials they will need to order them and she will call me so I'm able to stop by the office to pick them up. Here's where everything goes downhill. I never got a callback to pick up my contacts or my trials I had about three weeks left of contacts, so I kind a let it go for about a month. I called a month later and after speaking with the supervisor

The VAL-Uvision located at 9400 Atlantic Blvd #62, Jacksonville, FL 32225 is doing their best to provide quality service for eye care needs. The Ophthalmologist-Dr. Delcampo is very knowledgeable, pleasant and explains your eye care concerns in layman's terms which I find remarkable. Also the Opthalmogist technician is great she helped to put an at ease feeling prior to seeing the Doctor also she carefully explained the choices of having my eyes dilated exam or having a picture of my eyes exam, after asking her several questions and after careful consideration-I decide to have the picture

My rating for the Recency location is actually less than zero. I've been a customer there for nearly 20 years and on June 11th, the young sales clerk showed me the rack of frames that my insurance covers. She then asked to keep my little purse while I shop for my frames. I asked her why would I give her my purse? She then made a "joke" saying, "l promise I won't take anything." Needless to say, I reported the incident to Dr. Mary Del Campo.

ValuVision was so professional and friendly. I have no insurance and went in for a simple eye exam. I know selling glasses must be where they make their money and even though i made it clear going in that i did not intend to purchase any, they treated me very kindly and respectfully. I feel like i got a complete and thorough exam. I highly recommend them.

The doctor is not very helpful in explaining things. I needed information on single vision vs bifocals. Was my vision at the point that I needed bifocals or progressive lenses? She only said it's up to you. Also they don't explain transition lenses very well. As a result I have single vision transition lenses. I have ill fitting frames. The lenses stay dark even when I'm in dark places causing me to bump into things. I really needed progressive or bifocals so I constantly have headaches. I've had them less than a week. Called to see what can be done and was told all sales final

I had an unexpected problem with my left eye, so Ernie drive me here to have my eye checked. They lady Doctor(I forgot her name)checked me right away. I did a walk in and they were fine with that. I did have to fill out a couple of forms first. She said my eye was irritated, but okay. So, she prescribed me some eye drops to help. I always buy cleaning cloths and eye glass cleaner when I come in here. Dr. R. that owns this place is the one who discovered my Glaucoma. I know he must be close to retiring, but he is a great Doctor in my eyes! He runs a great company. The girls at the reception area

I finally decided that I was tired of wearing glasses and went to Valu Vision so that I can get my first pair of contacts. Sandy sat with me for about an hour instructing me on how to put them in. I have an astigmatism so the right eye contact is super big. She didn't allow me to get frustrated or impatient because she was super encouraging. Sandy is wonderful and I am really grateful for her patience. Everyone else at the location was also super friendly and accommodating.

Went in here to see if I could find any frames I liked. Two other customers in the store one was with an employee being helped and the other hadn't been called into the "show" room yet, but was here to pick up her ready frames. The employee that was working with me left to go help another customer who just walked in after I told her I didn't want to spend too much over my insurance for frames and what do they have in that allotment. She pointed me to a rack, that's it, of frames and then left to go help the other customer standing there giving her opinions of what frames

The Val-Uvision at Regency was amazing. The front desk hosts were extremely nice. Check in was Fast and easy. Dr. Campo was amazing. One of the best eye doctors around! Had the best check-out possible with Kelly, she made sure I had the perfect contacts and they lasted for months. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a exam with cheap deals!

I have worn both contacts and glasses for 13 years and this was hands down the most unprofessional and overpriced experience i have ever had. My initial exam experience was average. Reasonable wait time and courteous staff. I have a high prescription so I had anticipated a long wait for my glasses and contacts (1 to 2 weeks is the norm). Several days after my appointment the Optometrist personally called to inform me that I had two options for contacts, soft toric lens or hard lens.
