We had so much fun getting together in downstairs parlor in our PJ's for board games and drinks after formal dinners and the wedding itself. I basically had Kent Manor in mind for my wedding as soon as I got engaged. This beautiful old Inn is not only waterfront but has amazing grounds and beautiful reception areas/rooms.

Beautiful place. Last minute getaway with my husband and it was perfect. The room was beautiful, clean, romantic With all the comforts you need... coffee, water, fridge. Ice machines were easy to access. Staff was polite and extremely pleasant. We almost had to reschedule because of a small emergency and they were willing to help us out. But it all worked out and it was wonderful. We will be back.

I came here years ago as a wedding guest and has a great time. Now I work here and last night was the first wedding I worked. I was very impressed with the kitchen staff. They work so well together, it's impressive to watch!

My husband and I were married at Kent Manor Inn on Aug 28, 2021. We spent 2 years planning and postponing our wedding due to Covid. During that time, the property was purchased. Luckily, the Inn was up and running just 1 week prior to our wedding. Beyond the absolutely GORGEOUS renovations, the staff at the Inn were absolutely incredible. From the coordinators to the banquet staff, we were absolutely blown away by the care these folks took with our wedding weekend. Thank you, KMI!

First let me say I thank you from the bottom of my heart that you had the venue looking so beautiful because after our last site visit, I had my doubts.  But Ashton, you pulled through on your promise that all the equipment would be gone, and the Inn would be ready to service guests.  Then, on the night of the wedding, you,  LaFawn, Shoneece and wait stuff were amazing in every way possible.  We all worked together to set up the venue just as the couple expected.  The cocktail hour stations were presented beautifully and thanks so much for taking down the tables, so the dancers had plenty

I hardly ever leave reviews, but my stay at this inn has been stuck on my mind for the past year.

To get the quick stuff out of the way: this place is old, creaky, and ridiculously overpriced. I had to stay here to attend a wedding in 2020 so I didn't have much choice. But if this crappy little part of MD happens to build a motel 8, I would choose the motel over this place. Heck, I'd even pitch a tent at a homeless encampment if it meant not staying here again.

But why, do you ask, has this place been stuck in my head?

I am the sister of the bride for a recent wedding that took place at Kent. I also work in the events industry so I'll be offering my perspective from these points of view. This space is beautiful and the staff who were there on the day of, overall were very kind and attentive. The catering and the bar staff were friendly as well. The wedding experience on the whole though was miserable. The full time staff at Kent rarely answer the phone are slow to reply via email, if at all, communicate poorly and relay incorrect information with almost every exchange. In our case the venue was selected for the

Just happened to see if this place was still in business and noticed reviews can be posted. Posting reviews were not available at the time my girl friend and I stayed there. After reading some of the lowest ratings, sounds like nothing has changed since the years we stayed. Trying to make this brief and stick to facts. Made reservation for 3 nights. The day before we were to checkout, we had left for most of day. When we came back, we found our belongings in the hall. We asked why they were put out and they told us someone else was checking into room that day. Told them we had room reserved for

The staff was amazing. Even during Covid19. The inn was so beautiful and peaceful. We took a girls trip this weekend and had so much fun. There is a nice bonfire pit and we even went Kayaking. I can't wait to go back.

They should post a sign, "George Washington Slept here" because I think that is the last time they invested in the Inn.
Coronavirus has really taken its toll. The reception desk is a manila envelope with your keys in it left in a basket. After 4 pm there are no live staff members. I guess if you don't like your room, go down and take somebody else's envelope. Keep in mind it is a historic location so no elevator so be prepared to carry your suitcases up the stairs by yourself.
The room smelled like an old fireplace, the rooms are dark. (On the positive the room is painted well

LOVE THIS PLACE! Not only is the inn absolutely beautiful, the grounds are immaculate and the staff is lovely. We plan to get married at Kent Manor Inn this August. The staff has been extremely accommodating given COVID-19 and potential fall out. We are so comforted knowing we have a back up plan with the venue.

My parents and I have been coming here for easer brunch every year for the last 4 years. This year was no different, this time my boyfriend Michael was included. I was excited for its raw seafood bar, rib roast and a buffet filled with every breakfast item you would want. The atmosphere of the manor elevates the dining experience. This year was disappointing. Granted it was Easter and they were busy, but the service was a bit disorganized. Everyone seemed frazzled which caused a nervous anxious environment for the diners, at least for my table.

The raw bar was nice, the shrimp cocktails were

Historic? Yes. But the plumbing is from the dark ages. Our family has been holding our annual reunion here for the last 6years. People are great and accommodating. The food gourmet quality. But the bathrooms are small, outdated and near failure. Add to that the mildew from no central a/c, and you have charm only a 19th century traveler would find 5*. It's time they fixed the plumbing.

This Inn is a Gem. Lovely historic building with period furnishings and all of the comforts of a modern hotel. The room, while not spacious, is beautifully furnished with modern bath and Kerig coffee maker in the room. Sheets and towels comparable to any upscale hotel. The grounds and beautiful.

A beaut of a manor! Lovely and charming home, can tell it has been lovingly maintained. However, bathrooms are in need of cleaning (stains in toilet bowl and shower looked like they could easily be scrubbed...but weren't). Mismatched, threadbare towels. Also, there weren't many people in the hotel for our stay, yet they put the only other people with children directly above us. Cue incessant running back and forth all evening and again from 7am. They offered to move us, but we had paid extra for a fireplace room and were told there were no other available rooms with a fireplace. Again

We love this place! The new owners are very nice and the inn looks fantastic. The pool is clean and the grounds are beautiful. We spent two days here and truly wish we could stay longer. It is really very much a resort as an inn. Kayaks are available for a tour of the creek. The breakfast was delicious.

Went here for afternoon tea. The inn itself is very pretty. Customers make their own tea from white ceramic pots of hot water choosing from 6-7 assorted Tazo tea bags sitting on a tray with honey and sugar cubes. Food is served buffet style in a separate room. China is plain white with gold or silver trim, some showing visible wear. Their ice water tasted like rust - used provided lemon slices to mask it. If you are expecting a British style tea with pots of prepared tea wrapped in a cozy, flowers, pretty china, and tea sandwiches, pastries and savory goodies served on a 3-tiered cake stand

What a perfect treat on Sunday! Enjoyed the " Champagne Sunday Brunch" here yesterday.
Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Our server was excellent. Nate was attentive, cordial but not overbearing.
The various stations of food choices, was a nice variety.
Ham, roast beef, omellette station, as well as a beautiful raw bar.
Desert choices, fresh fruits & alternate choices, chicken, pork loin too.
Charming old home.
Everyone very professional.
Enjoyed walking the grounds afterwards & seeing the dock too.
Whether planning a wedding or just a special meal, Kent Manor Inn is the perfect choice!

The three stars are for the food at Sunday brunch. It is delicious and there's quite a variety from salads to omelet station to ham carvery.

What they lost stars for is lack of service to our table. I literally watched our server ask every table before us for coffee/mimosas/juice and walked right by us. Can't tell if it was because of our almost 6 yo who us (who was sitting quietly enjoying his food) or because I was the wrong color. You can say it's my imagination, but I didn't imagine not being asked throughout the hour we sat there if everything was ok or if we needed anything

Very disappointing customer service. Booked rooms for a family wedding tomorrow. Handicapped father of the bride was put in a room on the 3rd floor with no elevator. When we mentioned we were basically told oh well and he had to painfully climb the stairs. Our room is on the 3rd floor as well and has dormered ceilings. Room 303. My 6'6" husband can't stand up straight in the room or in the shower. The woman we checked us in saw this and said "well find someone on the second floor to switch rooms with you, we can't do anything." Very poor attitude and terrible accommodations

Historic Inn with a reputation to uphold and they DO! PERFECT place for my husband and I to enjoy Thanksgiving. The drive over from Annapolis on a gorgeous fall day and then afterward we sat out on the dock and enjoyed the stillness and unexpectedly warm day.

You never felt rushed. The staff was organized and attentive and the food was varied, flavorful and creatively prepared and presented.

We will be going back for our wedding anniversary on Christmas Eve!

Can you say awesome?! This place was breathtaking. The perfect getaway from the crazy DC, Philly and Baltimore life I live. We recently had our corporate retreat here and it was amazing! I absolutely loved the fire pit and trust me when I say I'm a city girl who won't go within an inch of bugs and critters! However, this was a great way to bond with our board and staff.

The staff was hospitable and friendly. For it to be such a small hotel, the toiletries were impressive.

I think it would be a great wedding venue as well. It's a little old but I think that's what gave this

I was really looking forward to seeing what this picturesque body-of-water-adjacent "manor" was all about for a friend's wedding. It looked nothing like it did in the pictures. The only redeemable quality of this place was the manager who served as a hostess/manager/bell boy/waitress/wedding planner superwoman combo.

Let's start with the accommodations. They put us in an attic. No joke. An attic. For $500 a night. The linens were clean but the room looked weathered and faded in the least charming way possible. The bathroom was a converted linen closet of some kind and you

This review should have been written long ago as my husband and I were married here in June 2013 :) But we also just had brunch here this morning and it was to die for!!!

As for the Inn as a wedding venue, 5 star. Starting a year before our wedding and then leading up to the final days prior, the wedding coordinator Ashley and the rest of the staff at Kent Manor went above and beyond as far as customer service. The grounds were perfectly manicured and beautiful (our pictures were awesome), the rooms and room service great and the ceremony and reception went off without a hitch. They were basically

I stayed at Kent Manor for a work staff retreat. The manor and the grounds are very beautiful. We had the opportunity to utilize several of the buildings on property for our meetings and I could see where this is a great place for weddings. The bigger venue was obviously designed specifically for weddings in mind with beautiful chandlers and a dance floor. There are plenty of areas on the property to take some great photographs for your wedding album.

The manor itself was also beautiful. The downstairs has the restaurant and several rooms that you can sit and relax. They have cookies and lemonade
