This guy is fantastic. Super honest and very helpful with questions. Called him up on a Saturday and he came right out. I needed 5 new locks installed and rekeyed. Done and done! I'm a general contractor jus could seem to find time to work on my own house. I know quality workmanship and The San Jose Locksmith has it.

Barry is the best in the business! We have used him with my grandmother's house (re-keying and replacing multiple locks through the house and drilling into an old safe we didn't have the code for) as well as fixing two sets of locks on doors in our home (front door and sliding glass). He is honest about his work, fair prices, very quick to respond, and thorough in his work. Highly recommend!

The handle on our front door pulled off making it very difficult to close. Called and explained the issue, and was given a couple of options for the repair. He showed up in less than 30 minutes and had it fixed in under 5. Great service and a really nice guy. We definitely appreciate the fast response!

We have an old house (1940's) with the original door and a random combination of old and mismatched (brands & finishes) hardware.

Barry came on time and briefly explained the different routes we could take.

In the past I changed the deadbolt locks myself when a tenant would move-out, but, the incoming tenants would have 2 sets of different keys which I know is inconvenient. So we asked him to replace everything and re-key everything to match and he did it effortlessly.

Friendly guy and you can clearly tell this is his speciality. I would definitely recommend him.

Was locked out of my apartment at 6:00am, super stressed, dog and car keys were inside, needed to get to work. I called all around and Barry was there to save the day! He was at my apartment in less than 30 minutes and was able to get me in. He did make sure to check my ID to my mail for safety which I so APPRECIATE! Not only was he professional, but kind and helpful.

We needed our new door keyed to the other doors in the house. He arrived close enough to the scheduled time (~15 minutes late) that I was happy about that. He said the new $6K door's lock wasn't installed correctly and explained why. He said the original key that I gave him as the master wasn't a good master key because it was a copy of the original and was made at a hardware store with graphics on the metal. Worse thing he did was make the new keys with "Do Not Duplicate" and "San Jose Locksmith" on the blanks which means I will have a hard time getting more

The service was more than professional. Not only was Barry upfront on the phone about what he could do to help me with my problem, what my options were, and the cost involved, but he was on time for the appointment and did a superb job while here.

I highly recommend the service and I wish I could add some more stars.

He's the nicest man in the entire world. He did not rip me off. He listened to my sob story cuz prior to him this other guy was trying to charge me $189 that I didn't have. He's honestly a hero.

Will always recommend for anyone. Immediately responded and came to replace my door handle late at night. He also replaced all the screws with bigger and heavier duty screws without me asking him to. Good quality work, and fast. 100% recommend.

Today I found that a key to my home was lost. I called Barry and he was able to come out prior to his first appointment. He rekeyed 4 door locks to work with the same key and lubed all the locks. All 5 keys he provided work smoothly and the now lubed locks work perfectly.
Barry was very personable. He responded immediately, did excellent work, and charged me a reasonable amount. I will certainly continue to use him and will recommend him with no reservations. An absolute 5 star Locksmith.
