Weissler Acupuncture
Sports medicine acupuncture uses the principles of traditional Chinese medicine with Western sports medicine to view the patient's problem with an integrative approach. During my training I did extensive cadaver work and Western orthopedic evaluations in addition to the combination of Chinese medicine specialty to blend the knowledge of both.

Using orthopedic muscle testing, postural assessment, and a special needling protocol, the musculoskeletal injury is restored to optimal function. Corrective exercises are given to promote healing. What happens very quickly is less pain, improved function and increased range of motion. Chinese medicine also offers moxibustion, cupping, and herbal remedies, both topical and internal that help realign the patient.

It is estimated that up to 80 percent of adults in this country experience adrenal fatigue during their lifetime. Yet it is also one of the most under-diagnosed illnesses in the U.S. The adrenal glands are very small and sit on top of your kidneys.

Adrenals are the master endocrine gland in the body, responsible for stress management (physical, emotional and mental), fluid balance, blood sugar balance, control of inflammatory and anti-inflammatory responses to injury, immune system response and strength. They produce vitality hormones for energy and are the backup system for sex hormones.
The vital element in acupuncture is the life energy or Qi in the body which controls the circulation of the blood and bodily fluids, as well as the nerves and functions of the organism as a whole. When the Qi flows freely the patient has good health. If the Qi becomes blocked or impaired due to trauma, poor diet, excessive emotion, cold, heat, stress or other pathogenic factors, the individual then becomes sick or vulnerable to illness.
After obtaining a health history, a classic acupuncturist will examine the tongue and take the pulses. The tongue is the only muscle in whole body that is not covered by skin so it is like getting a inside view of your tissue. The coating on your tongue should be a thin, white coating. The Chinese say that the coating is the springing of the intestines; therefore many intestinal abnormalities can be easily diagnosed with this evaluation.
So frequently my patients have asked me what it took to become an acupuncturist, and my reply is that it was the hardest endeavor I have ever undertaken and the most fulfilling one. To get into a reputable school, you must have a baccalaureate and fulfill all science prerequisites for the Masters of Science program for Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Tai Chi Easy takes five essential movements from the traditional 108 movement Tai Chi long form, and distills these into a simplified form. This makes learning Tai Chi beneficial and fun to learn right away. These movements are practiced in a stationary manner. Inner Yoga is the practice of meditation and inner listening while practicing the Yoga postures.

Patti’s attention to the care and well-being of her patients is at the forefront of her relationship with us. Whether it’s her understanding of the placement of the needles and/or the prescription of supplements to support our needs, we return to her again and again because we know she can help us move forward toward the health we want to feel.

I have known Patti for years. First as an RN and coworker, then as my acupuncturist. My first treatment was a full body but focusing on my sinuses. I was having dreadful sinus headaches at the time but Patti fixed that. I currently go to her for back and legs issues. For those of you leery of needles I just want to say that Patti has put needles in my feet, which are ultra sensitive and I didn't even feel them. She is amazing. Calm and sincere in her vocation to give people a positive alternative to Western medicine and it's reliance on drugs and surgery. I highly recommend her both as a fellow

Patti has helped me so much for the past 15 years. I had a nerve at the base of my neck that hurt 24/7. I saw many pain doctors, an orthopedic doctor and a neck surgeon. Nothing helped. A pain doctor suggested acupuncture and cupping when nothing was helping relieve my pain. This had been going on for at least 2 years. I went to Patti and after 3 or 4 sessions of acupuncture and cupping my pain was completely gone. It turns out that my muscle had clamped down on that nerve and no blood was flowing around it which was causing the pain. My quality of life was back to normal.

I highly recommend Patti Weissler of Weissler Acupuncture. I obtained results for difficult health issues dealing with menopause and hyper adrenals. She identified the source of my symptoms and targeted those areas of treatment. I had extremely high hormone levels which created a host of problems. Through a detox and nutritional protocol my levels have greatly improved. She was able to identify causes of the fatigue through saliva test. I’m very thankful for the improvement and positive results for the hyper adrenals. My sleep patterns have improved. If you are looking for help which produces

Patti Weissler is the best acupuncturist I have ever had in my 70 years!!!
She is spot on wherever those needles need to go!!! Her supplement and nutrition recommendations are alleviating my IBS symptoms that gastroenterologists have not been able to resolve for years!!! And with one treatment she has essentially eliminated the pain in my shoulders which chiropractic treatment could not address!!!
I have recommended Patti to everyone I talk to and even my friends who don't live in San Antonio. She's the answer to what's ailing you!!!

Patti has helped me with health issues on several occasions over the past few years. While I have a competent doctor I like, western medicine usually means another pill. Patti's skill is identifying the problem, and by combining acupuncture and herbal treatments, solve the problem. She listens and takes the time to explain things. If you are looking for answers to a health problem, I highly recommend Patti. You will be in good hands.

There are some great acupuncturists in the world, but Patti is one the best! I am an acupuncturist as well, and I have seen Patti for the last 11 years as a patient, but I also consider her a mentor and a friend. Patti has a wide range of skills and expertise that she has developed over many years of education (including her nursing background, nutrition training, and her comprehensive sports medicine training), and she is truly second-to-none. But more importantly, when you go to Patti, you are benefiting from all her years of clinical knowledge. She has seen it all! And, she is the first person
