Adrianne Ortega LAc, FABORM I began my undergraduate education at St. Mary's University and finished out of state, where I received my Bachelor's of Arts in Education and Spanish. While still passionate about teaching, I now enjoy teaching others about their health and helping patients reach their wellness potential.
Acupuncture is based on the premise that qi - a foundational energy for life and health - circulates throughout channels in the body. The movement of qi through all of the channels is similar to some of the circulatory systems described in Western medicine, such as the lymphatic or blood system. Optimal wellness is achieved when qi/energy is flowing steadily and freely.

Adrienne is knowledgable, professional, and personable. I went in for fertility treatment, and she was able to help create a better cycle for me, as well as help my husband through the process too. I learned so much about my body and cycle with Adrienne. I was able to conceive via IVF and acupuncture. My RE recommended me to continue with acupuncture throughout treatment. I recommend Adrienne to anyone who wants a holistic approach to health issues, especially to boost fertility.

I came to Alma Acupuncture to seek help for my anxiety which was taking a control of my life. With my anxiety I also developed other problems like insomnia, gastritis, diarrhea, loss of appetite, and the list goes on and on. After my first visit with Adrianne I had the best sleep of my life! My mood was a million times better, my appetite came back, and my anxiety was much more manageable. I’ve been seeing Adrianne for a few months now and I can’t thank her enough. She is such an amazing acupuncturist and human being. She always makes sure to create a safe and relaxing space in her office.

I went to Adrianne and told her I was suffering from low energy levels and stress throughout the day. After going over a few details she recommended a herbal formula for me to try. She explained that herbs are a helpful tool that can relieve these issues. I noticed very quickly that I wasn’t having that normal low energy feel that I would normally get throughout the week. I also noticed that I was able to deal with the stress of daily and weekly responsibilities better as well. I strongly recommend giving alma acupuncture a chance because it was a great and successful experience for me.

I live in Michigan, but was able to have a video consultation for an herbal consult. I'm so glad I did! Talking with Adrianne helped me make some realizations about my health and she also made some very helpful recommendations which seem to be working to address my gut issues. As a pregnant mama who also happens to be a chiropractor caring for other mamas, it is important that I care for myself. I had been experiencing severe carpal tunnel syndrome in one of my arms, making it uncomfortable to care for my other children, work on my patients and even affecting my sleep. I went to see Adrianne for the first time and had a… slight change in pain, after my second visit I have zero pain and my range of motion has returned to my wrist. I am so grateful for her gentle care. Now onto helping with my pelvic floor. Acupuncture with Adrianne has proven to be a great compliment

I am so glad I finally decided to try acupuncture. I've struggled with chronic digestion problems. In short, I have not been miraculously cured, but those problems have improved more than I could have imagined… or hoped for. Adrianne is very knowledgeable, compassionate, and a true professional. I always looked forward to going to my acupuncture sessions! A side effect I didn't anticipate from the sessions was a significant decrease in anxiety and leaving the session feeling relaxed and joyful. I cannot recommend the wonderful Alma Acupuncture enough!
