As a first time mom I was terrified to put my daughter in the care of others and was hoping not to have to do it until she went to preschool. Unfortunately our situation changed and after she was about 15 months old my fiance and I had to start looking for a babysitter or child care facility that we would feel comfortable leaving our daughter at.
We looked at a few different centers before deciding to send her to Foundations for Learning. She has been at Foundations for about 5 months now and we 100% feel we chose the right one. She gets excited as soon as we pull in to the parking lot!

Services
Foundations For Learning preschool is designed to be a home away from home for your child. Our purpose is to provide children with unconditional love and the highest quality of child care possible. In addition, we want to enhance those experiences that they have had at home by capitalizing on the child's natural curiosity and their thirst for new knowledge.
At Foundations For Learning, we focus on individualized experiences and hands-on-learning. Both of our locations in Glastonbury believe in the same core principles of education and "play with purpose." The teaching staff at Foundations For Learning take their jobs very seriously and work hard to make sure that each family experiences a personalized relationship with the teachers, the administration, and the school.
At Foundations For Learning, our goal for our infant care program is to create an environment that mimics individual home-like environments for each child while providing a solid early educational experience. Working with parents to ensure that every child is working towards accomplishing the appropriate developmental milestones.
At Foundations For Learning Child Care, our goal is to create an exploratory learning environment in which four and five-year-old children can create and expand on their already acquired skills. We believe that while each preschool student is unique, yet it is important for children to learn to be part of a peer group, to see themselves as active learners and to continue learning self regulation and independence skills.
At Foundations For Learning, our goal is to create an after school care environment in which 5 through 12-year-olds can do homework, review schoolwork, and build on their blossoming skills. Each of our staff members is dedicated to the education and engagement of your child, ensuring that their time after school is utilized in fun and creative endeavors.

Excellent outdoor space, and they strongly encourage our children's physical and mental development, and they're doing a very good job.
The baby daycare is fantastic.
In general, the staff is very good and they have a lot of strong motivation and goals. However, it sometimes feels like they are overworked. Lots of strange little issues keep cropping up, which we attribute to a bit too much to do, and not enough time to do it all (fax number changed without letting the parents know (so our doctor's notes kept getting lost), our 3-yr-old son will sometimes get his milk given to him for lunch, but

Our son has been going to FFL of Glastonbury since he was 10 months old, he is now 11 years old! He attends FFL for half days/full days/summer camp when not in school. We have loved FFL since day one! The staff treat him like he is one of their own children. We have never felt so much love and trust when it comes to him being left in someone else's care outside of our family and close friends. FFL has become Family. We have never had to worry about his care because the staff here are simply amazing! The facility has recently undergone some cosmetic maintenance as well and it looks fabulous! The

My husband and I just moved to the area and we are first time parents so we were very nervous to send our 6 month old to daycare for the first time. We saw many different daycares but felt so at ease the moment we walked into FFL of Glastonbury. The director Miss Miranda and all the teachers made it such an easy transition for us as parents and for our child, and nothing goes missed! They have a great app that gives us real time updates about our child's day and how he is doing or if we have questions we can message and ask. One of the biggest things that appealed to us is they are flexible with

I brought Xaeir here when he was 3 months old and stayed for about a year. My son loved coming to daycare, I could tell by how his face lit up when he saw his teachers. Some of the teachers show genuine care and interest and had real love for my son. Ill forever be greatful for how comfortable they made me feel and all the care they put into my son. If I ever had an issue Miranda handled it and I didnt have many issues. Give this place a try!

We have experience with 5 different daycares so far and this daycare is really great! Hoping to stay here for a long time. Daycare hours work for our schedule. I like different events that are organized by teachers each month. Such as holidays celebrations, book swaps, praise parties for kids who was polite and nice... I heard about parents late night fridays, which we will try out at some point. Another plus is 5% discount for one week a month if you volunteer or donate or help out with daycare needs.

With three child in ages from 5 years to 13 years, I have had a kid attending Foundations for Learning in Glastonbury for the last 9 years. The staff have become second family for my children. My youngest started in the infant room and is currently in the pre-k room. Next year she will move over to the school age room when she starts kindergarten at the school next door to FFL. She is overly prepared to tackle kindergarten next year because of all the attention and learning she has received while in FFL's pre-k program.

I can't speak for the South Windsor location because I've not been there but I can speak to the Glastonbury location. My children have all attended this program and my youngest will graduate from Pre-K this year. My older two children were more than prepared for the rigors of the public school system when they entered into Kindergarten. This school does really creative programs and lessons. This center isn't a corporate school where everyone looks the same and there is no individuality. This school is unique, funny, flexible, warm-hearted, and realistic. They are not selling things that don't exist

Don't let issues with other FFL centers ruin your opinion of the Glastonbury location. They're all run by their own directors, and the one that runs Glastonbury, Miss Miranda, runs a tight, loving, supportive ship. She doesn't let things slip through the cracks, and she hires awesome teachers. I'm a new mom and my kiddo joined FFL Glastonbury at 2 months old. I was SUPER nervous about leaving him there, but my fears were gone by the time I picked him up at the end of the first day. The teachers really care about your kids and they pay attention to needs, milestones and of course, fun!
