After ten years of serving the communities of Bellevue and Seattle, I made the decision to close both offices and take a year's sabbatical before I open a new office in Everett. Not only will I be spending time taking care of my own health and well being, I will be taking courses that have interested me, and will be bringing new passion, insight, and intuition to my practice.
I will continue to write and keep you updated on the latest that's happening here at Emerald Gate Acupuncture, so please check out my blog posts, which are updated frequently, and where you'll find more information and inspiration. You can also sign up for my newsletter to find out more about the journey I'm taking with Emerald Gate.

Services
Practitioners of acupuncture and East Asian medicine have used this noninvasive treatment method to help millions of people become well and stay well. Acupuncture promotes natural healing. It can enhance recuperative power and immunity, support physical and emotional health, and improve overall function and well-being.
I have worked with clients in Addiction Recovery for over 9 years, and have seen the power that Acupuncture and essential oils can have when combined with counseling, AA or equivalent meetings, and/ or patient treatment centers. Harnessing the healing benefits of essential oils, I also offer individualized blends, specifically tailored to each person's needs as they are going through detoxification and recovery.
Acupuncture has been employed as a health care modality for over 5,000 years. Modern science has begun to understand the secrets of this ancient medicine with the support of new studies conducted by leading scientists, hospitals and medical research facilities from all over the world. Today, acupuncture is receiving wide acceptance as a respected, valid and effective form of health care.
Your Initial visit will last approximately 2 hours. I will take a detailed health history, perform a physical exam, and provide you with your unique treatment plan. During your first exam, I will spend time getting to know you and your health concerns. You may be asked a wide range of questions about your symptoms, eating, exercise, sleep habits, emotional states and anything that may offer insight into your health.
Gathering this information enables the practitioner to effectively diagnose and detect any specific imbalances of Qi that may have contributed to a persons health problems. The practitioner can then create a well-structured treatment plan. Once the imbalances of Qi are detected, an acupuncturist will place fine, sterile needles at specific acupoints along meridian pathways.

Renee is absolutely WONDERFUL! She is incredibly knowledgable, intuitive, and so sensitive to the needs of her clients. She always brought such a calming presence to our sessions and I always left feeling great. I cannot thank her enough for all she did for my mother (who was a longtime client) in the last stages of her life. Renee improved the quality of my mom's life immensely while she was on intensive chemo and helped manage her symptoms. I would HIGHLY recommend Renee's services to anyone looking for an acupuncturist! I would still be a client if I didn't move!!!!

Renee Benedict is a wonderful acupuncturist. She practices 5-Element acupuncture, but more than that she practices a kind of magic, even though she seems like a perfectly ordinary person. She's a wonderful listener, with the committed heart of a true healer. She helped me find my way out of 25 years of depression and set me straight again in just a few months. Amazing, wonderful, highly recommended!

In a quest to find some alternative relief for my physical and mood-related complaints I decided to try acupuncture. Emerald Gate is a '5 Elements' mode of acupuncture, and as my practitioner, Renee, explained to me, it ties in with the natural flow and transitions of nature and it's elements. Renee spends a lot of time listening and tuning in to what is going on with you - she has a truly wonderful, gentle, and caring spirit. She is also great about telling you what she's working on and answering questions that may come up throughout the treatment.
