That was the most god awful experience. First off, I saw Joycr Lohr. Since this is a shared space, I'll review only that portion. She did not greet me at the door, I walked up a sketchy staircase to find her sitting in one of the 3 rooms. I disrobed, told her where my pain was and the massage started. Her pressure was intense but not in a good way, she used her forearm mostly to massage. When she did my upper back, instead of placing a rolled towel under my arms to make my shoulder blade positioned properly, she just rolled on over the bone with her forearm. She did a series of very bizarre stretches

I have been going to Glenda's for a little over a year now with no issues - I usually see HeeSun and she is always very pleasant and does a good job. When I heard that the spa was changing to Sanctuary, I asked whether the frequent visitor card would still be honored (as I had almost filled a card). The receptionist did not know but said she would ask the owner and get back to me. I did not hear back. I also sent an email to the owners (was told they frequently check emails) and never received a response (I emailed them twice). I also called again and left a voicemail, again no response was received

The best thing I have ever done for myself! I found Glenda's Day Spa in Spring 2009 when I was making a stressful transition in my life. Glenda creates such a personal, relaxing experience each time. My self-care ritual is going to Glenda's twice a month and I have been doing that faithfully going on 10 years! This is my happy place. I highly recommend skipping the commercialized mega-spas and instead experiencing much more personal service at Glenda's.
