We followed Dr. Church to Knightdale when he initially opened Smithfield Road Vet (SRV). Please know this review is not about Dr. Church as we LOVE and respect him. He has always been wonderful and caring to our many fur babies over the years AND we felt he always went the extra mile. In fact if he ever leaves SRV we will follow him again.
Regrettably, I don't believe this practice is now owned by Dr. Church. This NEGATIVE review is about the about the change in the practice's philosophy as apparently the Mission Statement of the 'new corporation' is related more to money than compassionate care

My dog was abused by his previous owners. He is skittish when out of the house. I told them this when I made his appointment. I take Paxon in for a nail trim and the girl comes out to get him and attempts to drag him to the back. I have to stop her and explain. Then 5 minutes later I hear the guy cutting his nails getting angry and raising his voice at paxton because he wont sit still and keeps trying to pull away. I will never step foot in this place again.

On Wednesday my dachshund, Chloe, who is 16 years old couldn’t walk on her back legs, which she has had problems for awhile. Then she begin having a seizure snd when she was able to get up she was staggering and was so disoriented. I immediately called my veterinarian office, SMITHFIELD ROAD ANIMAL HOSPITAL. I was told no one could see her at… all today. I have been seeing Dr. Church since he was affiliated with North Wake Animal Hospital in Wake Forest. When he opened his practice in Knightdale, I began taking Chloe there. She received good care, but when they were bought out last

We showed up on a Saturday at 8:00 in the morning exactly, but we were evidently already late. It took over 4.5 HOURS to see a vet and there were maybe 6-8 people ahead of us. I remember how long it was, because we ended up missing my daughter’s dance class at 12:30 pm. Anyway, we won’t be back. The vets are nice, but the wait is excessive every time I go. They also seem to be overpriced compared to even the NC State emergency vet.

Great service! Sent a message through their website last Friday about scheduling an appointment for both my dogs, they responded same day (which I wasn’t expecting) and they got me scheduled for the following Tuesday (also wasn’t expecting to get an appointment that quickly). Got there today and called to check in like the sign in the window says… to. Reception checked me in and very friendly tech came out and got my girls. He brought me my invoices so I could look them over first, then Dr. Church called me to go over his findings. The Tech brought my girls back and took my payment

The office staff are rude and unprofessional. We purchased a “pet plan” for our dog and pay a monthly fee for our dog’s care. Every time we go, it’s a 3 hour wait and the girls working the counter are rude, dismissive to the people that walk in, etc. We weren’t able to go in for our 3 month meds because of COVID. When we finally went today. I… wasn’t sure how to check in. The FB page says to call. When I called, it took dialing 8 times before someone answered then I was put on hold for 10 minutes. When she finally came back, I told her I wasn’t sure
