Very happy with my eye care at Barnhorst. I really like Dr. Balo. She made some changes to my prescription and lens brand, which I've had for many years, and it was surprisingly for the better. For that, I will be a loyal patient of hers! All of the staff is incredibly nice here too. Beautiful facilities. Highly recommend.

First, they did not recognize the appointment I had with them, even though I had an email confirmation from them. After that, even though they did not take my vision insurance, they confirmed that they could charge my health insurance for the eye exam, which I found a bit odd, but they insisted that this could be done. Finally, they send me a bill for (another) $225. No idea where this charge comes from, maybe my health insurance company rejected their claim and now they try to get that money from me, even though they said it would only be a $20 copay. Pretty sure it is illegal to quote one price
