Driver Rehabilitation is an important step that affects an individual's ability to return to work, participate in activities and to live as independently as possible. Our program is designed for individuals following a diagnosis that might affect driving performance or for older drivers to determine whether continued driving is appropriate.

Northwest Driver Rehabilitation provides a comprehensive clinical service designed to help drivers of all ages return to safe driving after illness or injury. The program includes a clinical evaluation of the person's visual, perceptual and physical abilities as well as a behind-the-wheel assessment using adaptive equipment as needed.
Services
Northwest Driver Rehab is a division of Assistive Technology Solutions, Inc. We have been providing services to persons with disabilities throughout Washington State since 1999. Our referrals come from families, physicians, schools and state and federal agencies. Mark Russel, the founder and owner has been working in the field of assistive technology since 1983 in a variety of educational and medical settings.
The clinical evaluation provides an objective assessment of the individual's potential to become a safe, independent driver. An on the road performance assessment in various driving environments is part of each evaluation. This may be done in the client's vehicle or our vehicle, depending on adaptive equipment needs.
We serve individuals that have a permanent or temporary disability who wish to return to driving. Referrals can be initiated from any source including the client, family members, physicians, therapists, or Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors. The referring party can call us and we will get the necessary information to schedule the evaluation.
