That one simple question is what motivated me to create Innovative Youth Care and seek out other nannies who feel the way I do: nannies with a desire to impact the lives of children in a positive and meaningful way. My first degree was in English / Journalism. I graduated from Penn State with exceptional vocabulary and writing skills, but my aspirations were short lived as reality sunk in: the PR industry in NYC was cut-throat.

I reached out to Innovative Youth Care when I had a 1 week old baby, not having any idea what kind of support I really needed beyond having someone there to help me cook, clean and generally help out around the house. Alyssa attentively listened to my concerns, but she also really knew what I needed after getting to know me as a new Mama.

Working with Alyssa at Innovative Youth Care has been an incredible experience and we can’t recommend the team enough. We’ve been working with IYC since 2014 and our nanny has grown with us along the way. We’ve changed schedules and she’s accommodated us. Whenever she has life happen etc. we accommodated her; we just have a great working relationship and it would NOT have been possible without the help of IYC and especially Alyssa. The worst nanny agency I have ever used. They ask for a $500 "consultation" fee. After we paid the fee they told us they could not find out a nanny at the price we were willing to pay (clearly stated what we were willing to pay in text message before paying her). They then refused to refund our fee after saying they couldn't find us anyone.
As a side note - the one person they sent to us was willing to accept the price we wanted to pay after Alyssa tried to get us to pay $100 more for her service. It was because of Alyssa that it did not work out with the candidate.
