What is family law? Family law encompasses many legal issues that are normally associated with separation and divorce. It is also known as matrimonial law and the law of domestic relations. A divorce is a termination of marriage and with that termination, many legal matters develop that fall under the umbrella of family law.
Adoption is a legal process whereby the adoptive parents assume the legal responsibility of an adoptee, usually a child, from the adoptee's biological parents. Legal adoptions permanently transfer all rights and responsibilities, from the biological parents or parents with legal custody to the adoptive parents.
Parents usually settle North Carolina child support cases by agreement. In most cases, parents come to an agreement based on the North Carolina Child Support Guidelines (You would have a link for these). The guidelines provide instructions for families with incomes of less than $300,000 per year. When support is calculated the following are considered: each parent's income, any IRAs, and stock options.
Sometimes marriages do not work out as planned. When that happens, couples separate and later divorce. The following explains the law of separation and divorce by answering frequently asked questions by clients on those matters.
If you are able to settle the issues of child custody, child support, equitable distribution, spousal support, by way of a separation agreement, or if those issues are non-existent in your case, then a divorce case will cost you $500.00 in attorney fees, $225.00 filing fee ($10.00 extra if you want to resume the use of your maiden name), the service fee and a $20.00 notice of hearing fee.

I had the privilege to use Johnathan Song a few times, he's always responds instantly, very professional, and understanding, never judgemental, and always pits in the extra effort to provide the best legal advice and aid, I would recommend him over anyone in the state. He treated me as a person which was the best experience I've ever had from a lawyer. 5 stars

My attorney, Jonathan Song at Song Law gave my case all the time and attention needed.
His professionalism is remarkable along with his knowledge of the law. He not only has compassion for the work he does, but he had compassion for me as a client as well.
Jonathan Song handled my case very efficient and got the job done. He is a man of his word and a great man overall and for that I’m grateful.
With that being said, my recommendation to any and everyone is that you can take comfort in knowing that if you retain Song Law for your legal needs then you have honestly hired the VERY BEST there
