In 1989 Susan Siegal, while providing care for her ailing father in his home, decided to make home care her life's calling. With her vision, dedication and drive, in 1990, she opened Gentle Home Services with the simple mission of providing quality, affordable and compassionate care to help the aging by allowing them to remain safe in their own homes during the twilight years of their lives.
Today, there are hundreds of agencies to choose from when help is needed. So why should you choose us? It is our goal to work hand-in-hand with you to ensure your peace of mind. From the moment you call Gentle Home Services, you will notice the difference. We know that calls to our office are frequently crisis-driven.
Gregg Berliant, co-owner, has enjoyed working with elderly clients for over 25 years. Gregg is responsible for Growth/Development and oversees all Financial Aspects of the agency. Gregg gets tremendous satisfaction knowing that he is making a difference not only to the thousands of clients he has helped, but also to their family members.
Did you know, on average, adult children spend nearly 20 hours a week caring for their elderly parents? And that's in addition to their regular jobs. Often times the guilt of letting someone else care for your parents seems to take such a high emotional toll that children find themselves taking on the task of caring for their loved ones without fully considering the needs of everyone involved.

In my family’s experience with Gentle Home Services, the company proved to care more about making a profit than providing quality home care. My family member was a hospice patient who needed in-home assistance, and we were explicitly clear with Gentle Home Services from the beginning about the type of care he required. Gregg, one of the owners from Gentle Home Services, came into our home to assess the patient’s needs and assured us they would provide caregivers to accommodate his specific needs. The company proceeded to send us caregivers who were unqualified and/or unwilling to care
