We are dedicated to providing an inviting atmosphere for children 6 weeks to 4 years old. We focus on the whole child and give them the nurturing and unconditional attention needed to develop at their individual paces in all areas. Our child development centers are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), which is a national mark of high quality for centers nationwide.
The educational philosophy of Love & Care is based on meeting the needs of the total child. We also believe that learning should be fun. Young children learn by exploring, being inquisitive, investigating, imitating, and by being active. At Love & Care, we acknowledge that every child is different and learns at their own pace.

Services
Love and Care Child Development Center has been serving District of Columbia families since 1999. We care for children 6 weeks to 4 years old. In 2006, we opened our Infant Center to accommodate the growing number of infants in the community. Love and Care was opened with the vision that children should actually be learning something instead of just providing the then traditional child care/babysitting service.
Love & Care envisions itself as a leader in early education. We envision that our staff will come from diverse backgrounds and all will be leaders in their field as well as advocates for child and family issues. We envision the work we do will promote and enhance the well being of each child, family, and community that we serve.
Enlist parents as strategic partners and provide the support children need to become life-long learners. Our Center offers a progressive educational program with separate classes for each age level. Our goal is to make sure the children in our care have the foundation they need to navigate through their academic journey.
We strive to hire the best-trained staff and require continuing education to ensure all our staff keeps pace with the highest local and national educational standards for child care professionals. We offer a multi-cultural staff with all Lead Teachers having either a bachelors or masters degree in one or two of the following areas of study: Early Childcare, Special Education and Elementary Education.
Love & Care provides a planned curriculum for children. The program is geared to meet the needs and promote the cognitive, physical, social and emotional development of the children. After reviewing the many curricula available for child development centers, Love & Care chose the Creative Curriculum.

I would just like to say since the old director left things have been pretty good here at Love and Care Rhode Island. The new manager is so professional and quick to help and assist. She is always available. Each time I had a problem with my child and it didn’t seem like the teacher was moving fast enough I would contact the director and she would be on it. Not to say I don’t like my child’s teacher because I do but it seems as if she always have a different face every few months helping her, that’s what I don’t like but my child, now he adores his teacher. When he comes home he’s singing

Our daughter has been attending Love and Care on Rhode Island near our home for a few months now and we couldn’t be happier. Since starting she has progressed so much and it’s all thanks to her teachers oh and the director. When we first started we were a little concerned because there wasn’t a permanent lead in the class and was afraid communication wasn’t going to be provided at the end of the day but the director was there to communicate with us and was able to tell her dad and I about her day. As a fellow educator myself I could Immediately tell she was a former educator, she was so

This daycare not only provide service for the kids but they help single mothers like me by cuting out the process of you having to find a daycare and then go through the voucher process bc they have someone there that can handle that for you as long as you have everything for the voucher process so for the extra help and how my son responds to the staff is good
