I switched to Barkate midway through my treatment plan and they have been absolutely amazing. They truly have an amazing staff from their administration to their Orthodontists. All of their staff are incredibly helpful, happy and knowledgeable. They remember you when you come in and are extremely organized. I had a few specific concerns with my braces and they really came through with results for me. I would definitely recommend barkate to anyone looking to improve their smile. 😊

Love this place!! During COVID my old retainer broke and my teeth moved I was so bummed I had already gone through years of braces as a kid. I came to Dr. Nehi and he suggested braces for two months to close the gap & then to put on a permanent retainer. After 3 weeks I can already see how dramatically straighter my teeth are !! All my friends are going in now too for permanent retainers cause why not & they are soo much easier ! I’m so happy & can’t wait to get my permanent retainer !! Thank you Dr.Nehi & everyone at Barkate!

Seems competent as an orthodontist and is friendly but they aren’t available when needed. They have three offices and they don’t publish their schedule of where they will be on which days. I thought I had them figured out- Newport Beach on Thursdays but when I showed up today because I need help, the office is closed. A phone call later I learn they are now switching locations on a random schedule depending upon which week it is. I honestly wish I knew this before becoming a patient. Choose an office that you know will be there for you.

Dr. Barkate is amazing! He's kind, a good listener and brilliant in his field. My two kids were going to Dr. Barkate for braces when I considered straightening my top teeth. I wore braces for 6 months and now I can smile confidently. He not only straightened the teeth, but he shaped them as well which really made a huge difference!
Recently my daughter had a minor issue with her retainer and Dr. Barkate responded immediately to my call. We took his advice and she was fine within minutes

I have been very impressed with Dr. Barkate and his entire staff from the very first time I walked into his office. On our initial visit, everyone made my daughter feel welcomed. Lisa answered all of our questions about the process my daughter would go through. Tiffany explained, in detail, the insurance component. I even called with additional insurance questions that were promptly handled. My daughter is always seen promptly at her appointment time. With many choices for orthodontists in the area, I am very happy with my decision to have Dr. Barkate care for my daughter.
