I've been a patient with Dr. Sakai since I was 15 years old, I am currently 31. Every visit is always a pleasant one, Dr. Sakai is always kind, thorough, extremely patient + efficient. I don't feel anxious or awkward whenever I do an eye exam, he does everything to make sure you're feeling comfortable. He always informs you of estimated prices which is great because I don't have the greatest insurance + finances rn, so I like to be aware of what I'd be paying out of pocket. Overall, staff is always so friendly & helpful; despite how busy they are, they always call right

Seeing Dr. Sakai for an eye exam is such a pleasant experience. His staff works with your personal schedule to set appointments which are both convenient and timely. I can't stand businesses which pressure you into situations in which appointments become a take it or leave it situation. I really appreciate Dr. Sakai's bed side manners with my son. He is patient, efficient, and takes the time to form a relationship that my boy feels at ease with. Thanks to Dr. Sakai, going to the doctor's office has become something to look forward to!

I recently had an eye issue, wanted to go back to my old eye doctor I've seen years ago. But I've had a sudden change and decided to search for a new one. I ended up stumbling across Dr Sakai's reviews. I decided to make an appointment, they booked me the day I called for a opening in the afternoon. Dental receptionist were very helpful and welcoming upon arrival. Seen the doctor with in minutes, did his magic and found multiple problems that could have accrued. Set me up with the right medication and over the counter prescription to help with my problems. He took very good care

Dr. Sakai is a thorough doctor who takes great care to make sure you understand what is happening in layman's terms, using analogies and everyday language to make eye conditions - which can be scary - more understandable. With every test or eye examination, he walks you through how it works, what to do and why it's being done, so you're not, ahem, flying blind. (Sorry, couldn't help the pun!)
Basically, he does a great job making you feel comfortable and "with it," without pandering or making you feel dumb. He prepares you and acknowledges when certain procedures

Dr. Sakai is awesome! He's always available and willing to help my daughters & I out whenever we have problems with our eyes, contacts or just need a little education. He's caring & very knowledgeable about dry eyes & has worked hard to help educate & make a difference with his helpful blogs! I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for an optometrist.

Dr. Sakai and his staff are always professional and friendly. He is very knowledgable and experienced, but what I like most about him is that he takes the time to listen and evaluate my needs thoughtfully then comes up with the right solution. And whenever I bring my kids into his office, everyone seems to go out of their way to make sure they're comfortable and happy. I have complete confidence in Dr. Sakai and could not be happier to have him as my optometrist.

Dr. Sakai is a doctor who is well rounded. He is very thorough, follows through, follows UP and makes time to listen. Explanations are clear and understandable and his manner with our children and elderly parents - well, lets just say he has a way with them - and they ALL are happy to come back for their check-ups, and appointments in between . (How often can you say that?) We appreciate his staff and his care. Much Mahalos, Dr. Sakai!!
