Dr. Nelson Yoshioka Jr. graduated from Iolani High School. He received his undergraduate degree from Seattle University and his Doctorate of Optometry degree from Pacific University. He spends most of his time at our Kaimuki office where he has practiced for over 30 years. Professionally, he is a member of the Hawaii Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

He checked very careful and precisely for my eyes. I changed my glasses last year two times with other doctor's prescription. He is very kind and
their staff are very smart, one of them is Japanese. I could choose titan frame that I love. I looked for many places about titan frame. However I couldn't find it, except his office. There are a lot of beautiful titan frame.
Titan is good for health and very light. That why I love titan frame.
So, If you want to have titan frame, his office is the best place.
And for Japanese speaker it is good place.

Got referred to go here because I just moved to Oahu and needed a new eye doctor. He has two locations. One is in Aiea where his wife runs and he does the Kaimuki location. I am so lucky he took new customers and even last minute as my insurance was about to expire. The staff is very very friendly and funny. The doctor is very knowledgeable, friendly, and has interesting eye devices and procedures. I was in need of new glasses. Don't have a variety of glasses and they are all expensive. But it does not matter because I wanted Oakley's and they are a few places I've experience that

After experiencing several episodes of having blurred vision and tired eyes in the past few weeks, I decided it was time to get a full eye examination to confirm that there was no issues with my eyes.
I did not have any regular ophthalmologists since I had previously gone to the eye centers at Costco and Sams club. After calling all around the nearby areas in East Honolulu, I found that all other doctors were about 2 weeks out for any new appointments.
Finally called Dr Yoshioka and was able to get an earlier appointment due to another patient's cancellation. The office is located in the

I've never needed glasses until today. So I was a bit worried about what an exam would be like. Needless to say it was excellent. The receptionist and staff were amazing and so helpful. Dr. Yoshioka was not only kind and thorough with his exam but he put the effort in to educate me on my eyes, vision, and why he was running each test. Ideal experience throughout, not to mention I had lots of fun picking my frames out with the ladies that work there! Thank you for making a doctors visit enjoyable!

Been going to Dr. Yoshioka for years...have not idea why I haven't written a review earlier! He is very thorough, pleasant and professional. Always feel like you're in good hands with him.
One visit, I just thought...of all the the different types of doctors out there, Optometrist spend the most time with a patient. He has to check everything for each eye.....
Thanks Dr. Yoshioka for taking such good care of not only my eyes, but my children's eyes too!
