Services
Classes at EPY are all-levels classes. We teach to the highest potential of the class, allowing each student to rise to their best. We encourage students to meet and explore what they think is possible, making modifications when needed. This class is for students new to yoga, and for students wanting to revisit the foundations of yoga practice.
Who is Baron Baptiste, and what makes Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga so special? Unlike most power yoga in the West, Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga is not based on the ashtanga style of K. Pattabhi Jois. The physical aspects of Baptiste Yoga are inspired by the hatha yoga teachings of Krishnamacharya and his students BKS Iyengar and Desikachar.
Evansville Yoga University is the educational half of Evansville Power Yoga. Our mission is to help students reach their highest potential, to help them become leaders within their lives and within their communities. We provide the best in education to those wanting to become yoga teachers, and we provide workshops and seminars for those students simply wanting to explore and grow through their own active self-inquiry.

Attended the sound healing as gift to myself. Was excited to try a new thing, but also aware that I have trouble reflecting, sitting still, being present. Still feeling elated by the experience, so let me know if you would like to hear an earful about it! Cherished, mended, playful, delighted, valued, worthwhile were some of the feelings I… explored. Did not feel overwhelmed by emotion, as was my concern. Very accessible to anyone. The studio exceeded my expectations by hosting the class to mingle afterwards. Many thanks to the Evansville Power Yoga team for sharing their talent and Pet

EPY has gone above & beyond during the COVID pandemic to support the community and promote wellness! While teleworking I have been able to participate in their live and recorded classes to stay committed to my yoga practice. YES, you can do yoga in work clothes in your office!! Thank You Mark, Alan, Damon & the guest instructors for all your love, guidance & support the past few months. Namaste 🙏

I LOVE Mark, Allen, and Damian at EPY. I live in Oakland, but grew up in Henderson. I come home frequently and every time I do I make sure to swing by and practice with this amazing group. I'm welcomed with hugs and smiles and genuine inquiry into what I've been up to. While I prep for class in the common area, there are friends and fellow practitioners asking about each others days. People know each other's names and will ask you for yours. It's a real community and in my experience, it is difficult to find. Beyond that welcoming feeling, the yoga is incredible informative

This place started out feeling like a family, but like a family, there is some serious dysfunction. The owner, Mark, took a personal (and vulnerable) conversation with me and used it to take jabs at me publicly on a third party's Facebook post. All that is to say, I wouldn't trust him with personal information. Take your yoga class but keep a good distance.

I had never been to yoga before and Mark made my 1st memorable, exciting and helped me with some of my physical limitations. His students embraced me with kindness and encouragement before and after the class I was so nervous and they along with Mark made me so relaxed. If you are looking for a great place to start yoga or take more advanced classes, then Evansville Power Yoga is the place you want to go.

Visited over Thanksgiving break when I was away from my home Baptiste studio--I loved it! Everyone was so friendly, the sequencing was good and creative, the vibe was community and friends. Obviously, an intense workout (especially Damon's class) but all the instructors I experienced also emphasized to work at your own pace and take a restorative pose whenever you might need to.

Damon's classes are faster paced and quick, I've been told that Alan's classes are a bit less intense and longer holds.
