I've been to Shook pre-COVID and last December when in-person funeral services were limited. The funeral home has its own private lot where you can park, but it's a little tight to drive in. The staff who run Shook were respectful. Also, they handled Zoom attendees well for when in-person attendance was strictly limited during the pandemic last year.

The staff is genuinely compassionate and concerned with your departed loved one and your emotional well-being. They went out of their way to accommodate all of our requests, some being last-minute, and even went above and beyond by offering to take some tasks off of our plate. I left feeling like my loved one was treated with the respect and dignity he deserved. Thank you. Our family will continue to choose this funeral home for when the next unfortunate need arises.

I just want to compliment Shooks Funeral Home. Everyone I know has something beautiful and always positive to say about your funeral company. Your reputation for great work and the finest facilities make you stand alone, all of the neighboring funeral homes are cheaply decorated, dirty and old looking. I am also impressed that soo many people from all over the state count on Shooks during the most terrible time of their lives. Its impressive how far people will travel for the best funeral home. The professionalism of all of the people at Shookâs Funeral home was outstanding. They were so easy to work with from day one. The loss of our father was so devastating, surreal, unexpected and the grief was so unbearable and we were helped with gentle guidance through The whole process from the beginning till the end. With the sudden and tragic passing of my mother, the family not only had to deal with the saddening ordeal of our loss, but of the burdensome logistics of organizing a funeral.
We did our research for funeral homes. At this time of quarantine, many of the institutions were too busy to talk to us or help us. Influenced by their website with positive reviews, photos of their tasteful interior, and helpful resources, we reached out to Shook FH through email to get a conversation started. Their response was very prompt and thorough. We subsequently contacted them directly

After the passing of my grandfather our family initially had another local funeral home in mind which we had used it the past. We soon were disappointed to find out that they were no longer in business, especially grandma. However that disappointment and worry of what to do quickly disappeared upon meeting Roy and Richie when they came to pick up the body. Then again when we first meet Nancy at the funeral home to make arrangements. The establishment is very classy and well run. I cannot say enough of wonderful things about this institution. They are remarkably kind and courteous. They cater to your every whim & requests from beginning to end. Whatever you want, you will receive. One of the most important thing to me was that my Mother look beautiful. When I saw her, she took my breadth away & I smiled & relaxed. She looked beautiful. My mother in law had been ill for quite some time before her passing. Shook Funeral Home went above and beyond what we could have expected from them. From the visitation to the services, every one of her final wishes was made reality. The owners Nancy & Roy, and their son Tom that all run this business together make you absolutely feel like family. They are professional & also very compassionate.
