I am a baby when it comes to dentistry. Dr, Oakes and his wonderful staff make me feel comfortable. They work fast and do an awesome job. I have never had a dentist that I don’t dread going to until I started going here.

Dr. Oakes has been my dentist for about 18 years. He and his staff always make me feel welcome and at ease, ensuring my comfort throughout my visits. He takes his time to explain any treatment plans you may need without being pushy to sell you services. If a treatment can be put off for a while, he'll let you know that; if it needs to be taken care of, they'll get you scheduled in a timely manner that works for you. Young, old, or special needs (my youngest child), you will be treated with care and compassion by Dr. Oakes and his entire staff...and he's great with kids too!

After they dropped me as a patient for cancelling an unnecessary root canal, I receive a EOB from my dental insurance that they billed my insurance for two teledentistry visits. I don't even know what that is, but it was on a date that I was in the office for a teeth cleaning. There was nothing "tele" about my visit. Beware of this dental office now that they have different office staff. Errors abound and if you complain or question them they will just drop you as a patient. Likely because they are concerned you will catch them in something shady. That's exactly what I did.

AVOID OAKES FAMILY DENTISTRY AT ALL COSTS. This is the worst dentist in the history of dentists. They are currently running a scam on state employees who come here with State of Washington employee insurance. Dr. Oakes did a root canal and did not get the site clean and then installed a temporary filling for no good reason other than to give business to another dentist that he scams with who was supposed to do the permanent filling (who does this?). The root canal got severely infected and destroyed a percentage of the jawbone. Another dentist was able to clean out the mess and piece the tooth

My employer has recently changed providers and I had to find a new dentist. I chose Oaks because it was near work and they could get me scheduled in a decent timeframe. I am very happy with my choice. The entire staff was delightful. I would highly recommend Oaks Family Dentistry!

They're happy to bill insurance and take your money, but refuse to address a poorly placed crown that is 2 years old and per our new dentist needs to be redone, as its trapping food due to "poor contact", which my husband has complained about on more than 1 occasion to the office. They will not even discuss it just "no", meanwhile because it was recently done the cost for fixing the issue comes 100% out of my pocket; crowns are intended to last more than 2 years.

In addition, I'm quiet honestly scared to call them about the crown they did for me, its bulbous and

This office should not accept child patients if they are not prepared to deal with the extremely normal fears and anxiety that kids have at the dentist. The doctor was impatient and borderline irritated that my kid kept trying to touch his mouth, was scared, and had a hard time being still with drills and needles in eyesight. We left without the procedure being performed and a scolding about correcting his behavior. Never in my life have I seen such hostility and poor bedside manner in a dentist supposedly servicing families. Children are not adults and shouldn't be expected to act like them

I started going to Dr. Oaks when I was a little girl, he used to do an amazing job. When I was about 9 I broke my two front teeth and needed caps. He did an amazing job. However, a few years ago I broke one of the caps and needed a replacement. For some reason he made the new cap a completely different color than my other front tooth. Now I am ashamed to smile with my teeth showing. I even asked if it was going to be the same color. He used to be so great...but now his work has made me so self conscious.

If you want a great dental experience I highly recommend this office. I'm a big baby when it comes to fear of pain, & cold sensitivity on my teeth. Their hygenist is always careful not to send me to the ceiling with the air, or water rinse which are BOTH COLD!

Dr Oakes is a great guy as well. Always upbeat and not hard to look at either ladies! He's always informative, sings along to the radio playing softly in your room, keeps you pleasantly preoccupied while you're in the chair. With all the proceedures I've had done in the last few years I've never been scared or
