Newport Counseling Center
There will be a few more papers to sign but these are the most time consuming. At Newport Counseling Center we understand that all people struggle at times and our caring and professional staff can help those with depression, stress management, grief recovery, divorce recovery, anxiety and phobias, domestic abuse, sexual abuse, self-esteem, substance abuse, attention deficit/learning problems, behavioral problems, emotional trauma, parenting challenges, relationship troubles, and many other issues.
Services
As part of the Amen Affiliated Education Center, we are able to use the resources of Amen Clinics to educate, assess, and assist our patients struggling with brain-based difficulties. In working together, with the Amen Clinics, we can help patients struggling with brain-based difficulties such as anxiety, depression, memory problems, learning struggles, weight issues addiction add and cravings.
Co-parenting counseling is a targeted, solution-focused counseling that addresses the specific issues related to collaborative parenting during and after a separation or divorce. It is not individual or couples therapy. The sessions may be structured by meeting with parents together or separately.
Therapy sessions take place in a private room provided by the school and furnished by Newport Counseling Center. Students receive the same confidential services at the school site as they would at the main office. School satellite offices eliminates children having to be taken out of school or parents having to miss work for therapy appointments while still meeting the needs of the population being served.
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) is an intensive treatment program that is designed to help both parents and children. The PCIT program works with parents and children together to improve the quality of the parent-child relationship and to teach parents the skills necessary to manage their child's behavior problems.

The counselor I had here actually tried to sell me mental health "supplements" (snake oil), which they also openly peddled at the front desk.
Seriously...

Ive never had a problem here and am always welcomed. When you goto therapy for yourself, its for "yourself" and here I found a professional that was able to meet my specific needs after going through a few that didnt understand me. Also this office offers many services not only for adult but all ages. They helped me with my son who has autism and I better understand each other and work together happier.

I can not say enough about Tina who has saved me. I went in a mess and i mean a mess .Tina has helped me and continues to help me .i have refered her to many. The caring and non judging making you feel you matter is how your treated. Not because its her job but because she cares. Always there when you need her . From the time you walk in your treated with a friendly smile and friendly words.
