My son was 4 at the time when I brought him to see Amanda. He was acting out a lot at preschool, but not exhibiting the same behaviors outside of school, and when we tested him he had slight ADHD symptoms. We decided to try out neurofeedback since it could only help him. As the sessions went by his behavior got better and better.

I live in Florida and because of COVID, counselors here are booked 3-4 months out. I went through my insurance (Cigna) to try virtual help, but all the counselors I spoke with there seemed very "cookie cutter". (It may sound crazy, but I always felt like they had a piece of paper with approved responses taped to the side of their computer screens.) I'm not a fan of virtual counseling, because it feels impersonal - but it's the way of the world now. So, I started researching places in other states, and eventually, I found the Neurofeedback center.
I could not have been happier with my counseling

I've been seeing a counselor here, for individual therapy, for over a year. It has been, by far, the most transformative and helpful experience I've had in trying to improve myself. I can't thank N&CC of PA enough for their continued support!

While I had an initial confusing start. I never felt pressured or unheard in my communication with the Neurofeedback and Counseling Center. I am a clinician myself, and found this agency and its practitioners a new level of professionalism and quality to strive towards. I have NEVER benefitted from other traditional sources of therapy like I have benefitted from Neurofeedback training. Not only was I quickly able to clear up any scheduling snafus, but also I received help in my initial intake session; more help than I have gotten from years of other therapies. Amanda is a fantastic clinician. I

By far the best counseling experience I have had. Especially with COVID-19 in effect, i couldn't have asked for a better group to work with.

This place is terrible. I called and immediately was greeted with kindness until I gave the woman my insurance information. She then told me in order to treat me I’d have to pay my $1500 deductible down. Needless to say she gets a ZERO for patient bedside manner and ZERO points for compassion.
You got into this field to help people, if you are only doing it for money, you aren’t getting anywhere. Don’t go to this woman. I BOYCOTTING HER

I tried for months to obtain services with her for my son. Her professionalism was a joke. His insurance was more than willing to work with her. She kept reporting that they were the problem. They were not. Eventually, I found another provider and they signed the insurance contract and services started within weeks. I'm sorry I wasted months on the hope of neurofeedback and her lies.
To respond to the reply: you've wasted enough of my time, but thanks for the offer!

We feel extremely grateful for our virtual sessions during this pandemic. Our 7 year old daughter was feeling anxious before bedtime and after working weekly with one of the therapists, she is now falling asleep with ease. We have follow up appointments which she always looks forward to. Our daughter has found a new friend who she feels safe with and can share her feelings with. They do coloring activities, meditations and breathing exercises together. She will have these tools for the rest of her life. We highly recommend Neurofeedback & Counseling Center of Pennsylvania!

I went here for a year. Been tossed around to different therapists. Their communication sucks. I kept trying to get an appointment in with my busy schedule and they would just not get back to me. The hours were great. But the good therapists would leave and do their practice else where. I would not recommend this place.

Beware. This practice is a scam. Save your money. Go to an ACTUAL therapist to talk through your issues. If you don't heed this warning, be prepared to drop at least $120 (if you have a $40 copay) before you even begin an actual "treatment" which consists of watching movies with no feedback whatsoever from Amanda the "therapist". Even though during your second appotment there is a comprehensive report printed out from her software program (she bought after she got her online "certification") you will not be given a copy of it to review. You won't be provided any insight as to how you are doing
