Tang Soo Do is an ancient Korean martial art and is the original name of Tae Kwon Do. It is a form of empty handed combat and self-defense-karate. Or more specifically, Korean Karate. A student of Tang So Do is not concerned with sport but with pursuing martial arts as a way of life. The physical and mental discipline of the art equips it's practitioners for success in all areas of life.
We also teach private MMA lessons. Whether you want to get into shape or you want to compete in MMA or BJJ, we can bring you private lessons. We also have guest instructors. That means, if you have a specific martial art or discipline that you would like to learn we have an instructor that we can bring to you.
Parkour is the art, discipline and sport of fluidly moving through ones environment, over and through obstacles, with the use of specialized vaults and acrobatics. Practitioners of the sport are called "traceurs", a word that like the word "Parkour" comes from its French roots. Many pk (parkour) practitioners refer to it as a "spartipline" sport/art/discipline.
Hip hop dancing is a popular art form, an expression of movement. Manor Karate Center not only appreciates the health benefits of hip hop but sees it as a way for young people to explore art through the medium of movement. Manor Karate Center dance students get to learn American Sign Language.

When dances are being crafted for presentations sign language is used to paint a more in-depth picture of the message being conveyed, both metaphorically and often as a direct translation of the song lyrics.Ballet is another component incorporated into MKC dance instruction. The movements of ballet demand strength, precision and control.
