Look elsewhere! They don’t care about residents, take advantage of them, assault happens, stealing, resident gets injured and family decides its best that they come home before they can’t come home. Instead of asking for x amount in a statement for the stay, they decide to sue an old person for less than 3 months stay! And not to mention they put roomates with people who have copd and compromised immune systems, then the roomate gets the compromised person sick, they do not care!!

An extended family member is in this facility and was assaulted by another resident. Our family members have tried and tried to no avail to get in touch with somebody to discuss the issue at hand and nobody will return phone calls or messages. This is completely unacceptable! Not to mention, this nursing home won’t let the residents make phone calls to anything but land lines. Are we living in the 1990s??! Everybody has cell phones now. The only way for my family member to get ahold of family is if they call in to her. This is unacceptable practice. Care centers are supposed to give every opportunity

My Experience was calling about my Mother
Who just had a Stroke.The Operater didn't do anything but consistently put me on hold .When the Hold time expires it rings the operator again and she consistently did it until I went away.So I went away to this Review.all the time putting me on hold she could have done the actual search for my Mom but I guess we are on our own for everything lately

The gentleman who helped get my father registered was knowledgeable, friendly and kind. He went out of his way to make sure my father had everything he needed. He was able to help with everything from admitting to discharge. He went out of his way to make sure we were happy. The nursing staff was great too. Very professional. Everyone treats you like family.

Licthfield Woods should receive Ten Star's because Five would never give them credit for all the wonderful services they offer. There very professional but still treat you like faimly. I can't say enough wonderful things about this facility. My mother enjoyed her time here and always seemed to rant and rave about the day she had when we came to visit. Their staff was always very helpful and available when they were called upon and we never really heard any complaints about her interactions with them. The facility itself is well kept, and seemed squeaky clean ( at least the parts we spent the most time in ). At the end of the day we were rather pleased with our decision to bring our mother here and would consider them in the future.

Today some "nurse" peeled off my father's water proof bandages and picked at his hip replacement wound with her bare FINGER NAIL! He told her she was hurting him and complained to the head nurse who called his doctor. He also felt the need to call an ambulance in order to get his incision flushed clean and re-bandaged. He has also been having difficulty getting any of the staff to help him get to the bathroom in time. He did not have this problem the last time he was there, after his first hip replacement. Giving this review one star is more than they deserve, this time around.
