GLOBALRx was founded in 1996 under the name AIDSRx in response to the absence of many of the US FDA-approved drugs for the treatment of AIDS in countries outside of the United States. Within a year it became apparent that there were a number of other drugs which fell into the same category (available in the US but not elsewhere).
Dr. Canada received his B.S. in Pharmacy from the Medical College of Virginia his Pharm. D. degree from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and his Ph. D. from the University of Massachusetts in Environmental Health. He has practiced pharmacy for over 40 years in both the hospital and retail areas.
GLOBALRx is Pharmacist-Owned and uniquely licensed as a Pharmacy and Wholesale Distributor. Registered with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and licensed by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture as a Wholesale Distributor to provide pharmaceuticals. We can also provide over-the-counter items, medical/surgical supplies, veterinary products, vitamins, and supplements.
Because of the significant expense of many of the new drugs approved in the US, many pharmaceutical companies prefer to provide drugs in the US through specialty distributors thus preventing access to these drugs for export. In many, but not all, cases the medication is available in countries outside of the United States.
GLOBALRx is registered with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a Wholesale Distributor and is compliant with the Drug Supply Chain and Security Act (DSCSA). This requires that pharmaceutical products be traced back to the manufacturer and we can provide this pedigree to our clients. Employ a full-time Compliance Manager and follow a rigorous supplier and client vetting process to minimize any risk of counterfeit or diversion.
