Hall House Hotel
The Hall House dates back to 1881 and is the second oldest building on Dahlonega's historic square. Frank Hall originally built the Hall House as both his home and a boarding house. Over the years it has served as a hotel, apartments for students of UNG and others, and as a single family home. Currently it is the home of the Bourbon Street Grille, Bleu art gallery, Hall House Gallery, and the Hall House Hotel.

The Hall House Hotel is the only lodging directly on Dahlonega's historic square; a short walk to the restaurants, shopping, music venues and everything else Dahlonega has to offer! We now offer a remote check-in option. Book online to set up your personal code that we will program into our electronic keypads before your arrival.
Services
Since we are such a historic building, there is NO front desk or elevators on the premises. If you would prefer a 1st floor room, check out the Piano room and the Southern Comfort room at the Old Storehouse Inn. We now offer a remote check-in option. Book online to set up your personal code that we will program into our electronic keypads before your arrival.

This place is right downtown. Older place but great location and very clean. We will stay here on our next trip to that area. We spent 3 days going to the different winery in the area. Our favorite spot for a relaxing away from our busy schedules.

Right on best part of town "square" with a bar, restaurant, art gallery, wine tasting literally next door.
Best part is competitive price with the "chain" restaurants in same city, at least during mid September. But, with antiques and original art (by owner) combined with very modern bathroom and a super comfortable bed, this place is a must if you're going to stay in Dahlonega.
Haven't been to Helen, but this quaint town was very cool. Had enough bars / restaurants for adults (Irish place just around the corner from Hall House - had live music and was a fun place

We are so very blessed that the Proprietor, Mike Miller, has a soft spot for North Ga alums and also wants to make sure that we don't disturb others,. As he says, we all truly to come pay Homage to our "motherland" of NG and he gives the best service and everyone loves him like family!! thanks Mike!

I was not sure what to expect staying her as I normally stay in Hyatt's and have stayed in B&B's in the past. I stayed in Sara's room. I LOVED this place! The location is excellent. You are literally in the center of the the town within walkable distance to shops and restaurants. The room was cozy and the historical aspect made the stay even better. Mike/guest services was totally responsive. My room was spotless and the bed was was huge and comfy. I would totally recommend this spot with no hesitation!!

This hotel and room was fantastic. When you think of staying somewhere this old you are just not sure. We absolutely loved it. The restaurant had the best food and everyone in this town was so friendly. We will stay here again for sure. Oh yeah if you are short be careful. The bed is tall. Lol

Great room, great location, fair price, quality features, good wifi, large space, covered back porch and three televisions. You will need to use the keypad to lock the door when leaving since it does not lock automatically. I only figured this out after returning from dinner and leaving the door unlocked for several hours with all my valuables inside and there’s zero communication about this. No closet or hangers so plan on spreading items throughout the room. Would recommend replacing some of the decorative furniture with an armoire and hangers which is a standard feature in most hotels rooms

Stayed in the Big Room for our 40th wedding anniversary. The room was exceptional, with king sized bed, a den area complete with tv, sofa, and desk, plus an outdoor enclosed patio, also with tv, sofa, and more than adequate space. Mike Miller, the proprietor, has made this room, the epitome of quaint Southern Class. Would highly recommend for folks that would like to ease back into time with this exceptional experience. Located on City Square, with food, drink, and many quaint shops within short walking distance.

Cool old place. Original structure built in 1800s. Small space behind the square renovated with just 5 rooms. Looking for restless spirits....

I can't say enough about this charming, historic hotel in downtown Dahlonega. We only stayed one night but wished we were there longer! We had a little issue finding the spot but Heidi, the manager, stayed on the phone and talked us in, she went outside and waved us in! Mike, the owner was also very nice. We stayed in the Trumpet/Monkey room which was perfect for a couple. The bathroom and shower were so big. The bed was super comfortable. There's a refrigerator in the room with a few bottles of water and a nice selection of coffees and teas. We hope to go back and stay longer

I. Love. This. Place.

Located right within the magical town square of Dahlonega, the Hall House Hotel is one of the most charming inns I've ever visited. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the hotel owner and taken to our incredibly spacious and well-appointed room and given a brief history lesson of the space. With touches like a coffee station, a claw-foot tub, antiques and cozy flannel sheets, this hotel far surpassed our expectations. I would recommend again and again.

We had an amazing 3 day weekend here! The Hall House is right in the middle of the square and made everything we did only a short walk away. Loved the ghosts and grapes tour and wine tasting at the art gallery on the first floor. Great food in town too. The haunting stories just added to the fun of the trip. Mike took great care of us- we'll definitely be back!

I have had the pleasure of staying at the Hall House Hotel a few times and every time has been nothing short to heaven. You cannot ask for a better location for a hotel in downtown Dahlonega than the Hall House Hotel. You are quite literally steps from everything. Best of all there is the Bourbon Street grill located in the same building as the Hotel and Naturally Georgia has 2 wonderful wine tasting rooms located in the same building. I have only stayed in one particular room but I have had the pleasure of touring most of the rooms. They are all uniquely decorated and lavish. There is a real rustic

My husband and I visited Hall House for a few nights away this month. The hotel is quaint and has lots of charm, but unfortunately it was not as restful as we'd hoped. Since it's an old building I think there's not much in the way of insulation, and both nights we were there we were awoken multiple times by the guests above us. It sounded like they were vacuuming and then doing some construction, no joke. They finally went to bed around 3 am both nights which meant we could finally sleep, but even with ear plugs the noise level was intolerable. The owner is a very nice guy and I

What an interesting hotel! The room was wonderful and service was as well. We enjoyed a wine tasting in the gallery downstairs and enjoyed the time with Mike and Vicki.

We'll be back for sure!
