She has been in private practice since 2003 working with people of all ages. As a graduate of the Brian Utting School of Massage in Seattle, WA, she was privileged to receive training of the highest standards in both academics and techniques of massage therapy. We are exposed to a variety of stressors everyday. Most are small and only result in making us more resilient. However, we fall out of balance when those stressors, physical or emotional, become too great. Regardless of the technique, the ultimate goal of therapeutic massage & bodywork is help you restore balance.
Craniosacral Therapy, developed by Dr. John Upledger, is a gentle hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of the craniosacral system. CST works with your body's own ability to heal and maintain balance. Daily stresses, injury, disease and emotional trauma can accumulate overtime and diminish our body's natural ability to self-correct.
Myofascial release is a hands-on form of soft tissue therapy. Used to treat structural dysfunction in the body, thus eliminating pain, restoring motion and rebalancing the entire body. It does this by using deep, slow strokes to release "snags" or adhesions in the fascia. The fabric that surrounds every structure in our body is fascia (connective tissue).
Neuromuscular Therapy is a specialized form of manual therapy that works with the nervous system to re-establish a healthy tone in the muscles. Specific tender sites, called "trigger points" are caused when muscles become weak and inhibited. At the core of the trigger is a muscle spindle (a sensory & motor neuron) that is in trouble for some reason-generally due to being pulled taut and over-stretch.
We have all been greatly affected by the pandemic. Whether it is loss of freedom, loss of a sense of security, or loss of a loved one, we will be forever changed by this time. As such, I have decided to shift to a sliding scale fee structure. Based on the financial resources you have, you can choose to pay between $50 and $125 per session.
