Dr. Folweiler is a former competitive triathlete. Sidelined by sports injuries, he sought chiropractic care, based on a recommendation from a friend. Chiropractic care helped him overcome sports injuries to go on to compete well in dozens of triathlons. After some soul searching, Dr. Folweiler felt that the best way that he could help humanity was by becoming a chiropractor himself.
Dr. Folweiler has been adjusting patients since 1991. He uses a hands-on approach that allows for the maximum amount of control and feedback. This adjustment style is referred to as manual, diversified, or osseous. By using a test-exercise-retest approach, we can determine which stretches, exercises, and therapies are most likely to address a patient's underlying dysfunction.
Dr. Folweiler has been providing chiropractic care for residents of the Pacific Northwest since 1994. Dr. Folweiler holds a bachelor's degree summa cum laude from the University of Massachusetts, a master's degree from the California Institute of Technology, and a doctorate cum laude from Western States Chiropractic College.
Myth: An x-ray/MRI will reveal the cause of my back pain. Fact: In most cases of back pain, imaging will either appear normal or have common findings associated with aging. Imaging rarely shows what is causing your pain (disc herniations are an exception to the rule). Disc bulges and other findings are found very commonly in people without pain.
Neck and shoulder pain is very common, but it is NOT normal. We have been helping patients with neck and shoulder pain get relief for over 20 years. Many people have had neck pain for so long, they had given up hope of getting out of pain. There can be many causes of neck and shoulder pain. It can be caused by muscle tightness or strain, tears or herniations of spinal discs, and posture.

I have been seeing Dr. Folweiler for over a year now, and he is the best chiropractor I have had to date. He runs an ethical practice and has the patient’s best interest in mind. Charlotte at the front desk is kind and has always taken the extra step to help me find appointments that work with my schedule, as well as handle all of my insurance questions and payments. I highly recommend Dr. Folweiler’s chiropractic care for adjustments or a recovery plan!

I am one of those people who is very skeptical of chiropractors. I would rather see a physical therapist than a chiro, because in my experience, chiropractors give you the quick fix but don't get to the actual cause.
When I saw Folweiler, it was because I needed a quick fix, I could barely bear weight for walking. He named my postural problem, which I knew I had and only PTs had ever identified. And then he gave me exercises to improve my postural stability, which no chiro had ever done for me either.
6 visits later and I'm back to normal. I highly recommend Folweiler, he's a

I had never really been a chiropractic patient. However, I developed pretty severe lower back pain over the last year or so. Dr. Folweiler was recommended to me and I am so glad I went to see him. He's able to determine exactly what's causing your pain, adjust you, and then lead you through exercises to help you get back to normal. After only 2 visits I've already seen a huge improvement in my mobility and my coworkers are glad to see me moving less and less like a robot. :)
Thank you, Dr. Folweiler!

I am always in and out of my appointments in no time, which is preferable due to my busy schedule. I've never had an issue scheduling around my job, and my appointments have all started on time or early. It was nice to see someone who not only corrects the problems with my back, but gives me exercises and lifestyle tips to do on my own to help prevent future injury. I've been to a few doctors before that just string me along week to week indefinitely, and that's frustrating and expensive. I'd definitely recommend Dr. Folweiler again and again.

Dr. Folweiler has been very helpful in relieving pain I have been having in my shoulder blade and arm due to a nerve issue in my neck. He is knowledgeable and experienced. Besides working to correct current issue, he provides advice on helping change the future dynamic through specific exercises. The staff is pleasant and appointments always start on time.

Mr. Folweiler is the man! I've been coming and receiving treatment for about 7 years. He's the best at what he does. You tell him exactly about your ailments and he knows precisely what to do to stop the pain. He cares about each and every one of his patients. He remembers details about your life. Not to long after getting treatment you form a relationship with him. It's not just about buisness. He cares truly about helping people be pain free. It's not just about money, he just wants to help you feel better. He's done too many beneficial things for me over the years! He knows so much about how

I saw Dr. Folweiler in October for lower back pain induced by running. The first appointment went really well. He spent time going over my history, my current injury, exercises, etc. The next (and last) two visits were certainly not like the first. My payment was immediately collected upon my arrival for both appointments and I felt extremely rushed from the minute I walked in. My last appointment was less than 10 minutes and I was charged for a full office visit AND "Exercise Therapy" which my insurance didn't end up covering. As he was rushing me out, I stopped and I said I had

I've seen Dr. Folweiler for several problems over the past 15 years. He always helps me out tremendously. He is kind, honest, professional, listens carefully and is super smart and knowledgeable. He has a lot of extra training and is able to figure out what the root cause of pain is and treat it. He gives great adjustments and also provides plenty of information and sometimes exercises which have been very helpful to me in managing my own pain when I overdo it. Gia at the front desk is friendly and efficient. They accept my insurance (and lots of others) and take care of everything! If you

Dr. Folweiler does great work! Over the years, I have seen massage therapists, physical therapists, and an acupuncturist for chronic pain in many areas. They were all somewhat helpful, but I still had pain in one place or another nearly every day. Then I found Dr. Folweiler. He adjusts me from head to toe, and I walk out feeling great (and continue to feel great for longer than with any other treatment). And that, right there, is the most important thing: his treatment is effective.
Additionally, he is kind, caring, and a good listener. He never makes me feel guilty for causing my own pain

Dr. Folweiler is amazing! I had an accident that resulted in a lot of pain. He addressed my needs and treated me for the areas in my neck and back. He incorporates different techniques with your therapy to help you get relief at home. He has great exercises to do as well. Dr. Folweiler is professional and makes you feel at ease with a plan for your treatment and well being. Gia is very sweet and always takes care of your scheduling needs at the front desk. I would highly recommend Folweiler Chiropractic!

I had been experiencing pretty intense headaches for almost two months, every single day. I had been to two doctors with no progress and decided maybe it was more of a musculoskeletal problem, which led me to finding Folweiler Chiropractic through my insurance. We discussed my pain, he adjusted my neck and back, did a few exercises and that was the first time I had felt any relief. I have been coming back regularly and have been headache-free with the help of Dr. Folweiler. He is very receptive and knowledgeable, so I would absolutely recommend giving him a call if you're looking for a chiropractor
