The classic fountain that greets our guests from the lawn of our 1900s-era Tupper Mansion affirms our close association with water. Our award winning modern conference center a few steps away, and a 91-room Inn completes the facilities on our 10-acre oceanfront property at Endicott College, near the quiet college town of Beverly, MA.
The focal point of the Wylie Conference Center is its beautiful fountain. A work of art that is truly monumental, the fountain is the result of two years of research, design, and sculpture undertaken to honor Richard and Helen Young Post, a couple who have been instrumental in the progress and growth of Endicott College.
The Wylie Conference Center is at the heart of a wealth of nearby recreational attractions. These include beaches all along Massachusetts' picturesque north shore, whale watching in Gloucester, dining and art galleries in Rockport, antique shops in Essex and outlet shopping in Kittery, Maine. The riches to be found within an hour's drive can easily fulfill any plans you may have for offsite teambuilding, spouse programs and recreation.
The Wylie Inn and Conference Center is pleased to announce that the property has just completed a $1.5 million-dollar renovation. Featuring updated dressers, hospitality centers, wardrobes, and desks in a rich cherry finish, the new furnishings offer guests a functional yet attractive means to enjoy their stay at the Inn.
Our fitness center is complimentary and is open 24/7. It features cardiovascular equipment and free weights, as well as yoga mats available at the front desk. Fancy place decent food but they have no considerations at all. They have a minimum our party was very small. We asked them to leave out the food so we could continue to eat at our leisure. We really didn't want to waste all the tenderloin and lobster, they don't allow doggy bags. Yet once they served dessert they cleared all the other food in the buffet, throwing away at least a dozen lobster tails and a whole tenderloin. The place wastes so much it's insulting. I do not recommend this place.

Tupper Manor is the most beautiful wedding venue we have ever seen. The outside is beautiful, the inside is gorgeous, and it has ocean views and spots to take ocean photos on the beach. The water fountain outside is massive and such a beautiful piece of art. Plus, the second floor inside is huge and is meant as the bridal suite for getting ready. And, the venue has the hotel attached to it! This venue and location checked everything off our list. Not to mention the two pretty bar rooms (I love the oval room), billiards room, huge ballroom with a giant sparkling chandelier and fireplaces, open and

Look no further! Tupper Manor is the ultimate perfection in wedding venues! We worked with so many competent professionals, Colby, Sara, Dave, Victoria to name a few. The group of wedding specialists at Tupper are truly committed to making your wedding magical. They were fabulous to work with. And the manor itself. It will fulfill all you wedding dreams and then some. We had our wedding during the Hurricane Henri and the staff didn't blink an eye. They had it all under control. The ceremony site was changed from outside to inside (both places are drop dead gorgeous) and the celebration continued

I shared a room with 2 other people and due to the fact that most rooms have 1 bed, we reserved the suite so we could stay together. Not only did we not get informed of the fact that this "suite" had only 1 bed and a pull out couch, but the pull out couch had no sheets on them. We were assured that the room we booked had 2 beds - never a pull out couch, which I find deceiving.
As for the pull out couch with no sheets, I called down to the office to see if it was an error or mishap but was told that my sheets were in the closet and had to make the bed myself. This was rather surprising

Wow what a disappointment. This Inn looked super cute from the outside and we were so excited to stay here while moving my sister into Endicott College because the location was hugely convenient. However, after just ONE night we canceled our booking and moved across town to a different hotel (that's how bad it was).
First of all, we were astounded to find out that the "suite" we had booked was just a normal room with a wall down the middle (the wall also had windows in which was weird) making what was supposed to be the "bedroom" literally big enough to fit the bed wall

This was a wonderful stay for us. My son & I had booked on Priceline, where they don't ask bed preferences, and we had one double bed. The woman at check in said there were no 2 bed options available, but gave us a king, which worked well. Then when we were going to dinner she gave us a recommendation for one of the best meals I've had in recent memory, and another great idea for the next day. The room was comfortable, spacious, and clean, and the setting is amazing. If I ever find myself in the area again, I'll be back.

I waited 1hour and 45 minutes to check-in, arriving at my room just an hour before the wedding ceremony. I and many others we're repeatedly told that the linen truck was late. As a place that has accommodated for many events this was unacceptable. I did not receive compensation for the inconvenience and barely got an apology. It is very convenient to be staying close to your event but The Wylie has to do some reflection on how they deliver service and treat guests.

Stayed here for a wedding. Hotel charged me a "discount rate" of $220 a night, despite the fact that going online rate at check in was $140. Refused to change my rate or allow me to cancel and rebook when I realized this and called, despite eventually doing just this for others in my wedding group at check-in for the same style room.
Shower curtain was extremely moldy, sheets were ripped, A/C unit did not work properly, bed was made so improperly we had to pull all the sheets off to remake it ourselves.
Cucumber water in the lobby was pretty good.

I've only written one yelp review in my life, but after staying at this house of horrors for a wedding last weekend I felt like it was my civic duty to warn others about this terrible place.
First of all, the room I booked in the wedding block was $260 a night while the rate for anyone just randomly walking in was $140--still WAY more expensive than this place should actually charge. We were there for two nights so we spent over $500 plus taxes for the whole weekend and I can safely say that it was the worst $500 we've ever spent. When I asked the manager about this absurd discrepancy

Stayed over 2 nights for a wedding. Unfortunately it is extremely over priced for a small room that lets a lot of light and noise in. AC in the room didn't get cold enough or allow you to keep it turned on. No breakfast included. Very nice service from the from desk and the rooms were very clean but just so ridiculously overpriced. We had to book our room through he bridal party hotel block, which was over $200 a night, but when checking later on Priceline, a room was $180 a night! We could have saved almost a hundred dollars for 2 nights. How can there be such a huge discrepancy?? Not fair

Given a key to a room that was occupied. Extremely unprofessional on their part and very embarrassing for us. This experience alone speaks for the rating.
BUT-just to add icing on the cake when we got into a different room the sheets weren't even on the bed completely. They were too small to even cover the mattress. Pretty disgusting.
Obviously, I wholeheartedly do not recommend this.

Had wanted to try this hotel for a while, and was able to secure a great rate through Priceline for a Queen room. Upon checking in late afternoon, at first glance our room appeared to be in good condition. However, we quickly saw that there were a few things left behind from the previous guest and that the room was not truly ready for us.
The manager on duty quickly acted to get us into another room, and was very apologetic. He upgraded us to a larger King size room which was very nice on his part. We enjoyed the room; it was spacious and had a very comfortable king size bed with quality linens

My Wife and I Stayed in the Hotel side of Wylie after having our wedding at their wedding venue in the Tupper Manor building.
The Review for the wedding venue side can be seen here:

The Inn side is much larger once you're inside, as the outside leads you to believe it is much smaller. The room was pretty standard for a 3 star hotel, I'd equate it to staying at a Fairfield Inn or Comfort inn, very basic. The Breakfast area is a one man show and has only a few offerings, the gentleman running it the morning we ate

My wife and I were traveling to Bar Harbor from Boston and found this hotel through a Price Line last minute deal (we were scheduled to stay at the Red Roof in Salem but this place was $5 more and closer to our destinations).
Check in was quick and easy; parking was free and the hotel is next to a conference center with a beautiful fountain on the main lawn.
The room is designed for one person and comparable to a Club Quarters (i.e., the bed is full/queen size, no bath tub, TV is about 26"). The hotel was very empty and quiet for a Sunday night.
No breakfast but parking is free, as is

When I first found out I was attending a company workshop here, I wasn't too thrilled. I kept lamenting the fact it wasn't in Boston. But after having spent a few days there, I had a change of heart.
First off, the Wylie Inn is located in a beautiful part of Massachusetts. I was there right as autumn was starting to get chilly. The foliage and crisp air made for a great atmosphere. As for the rooms, they had exactly what they needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were easy to sleep on and the showers were hot with lots of pressure.
I could speak to the conference center section,

Finding the Wylie Inn and Conference Center can be a little tricky! Located on the campus of Endicott College, the beautiful inn blends a little too well with the rest of the conference center and other facilities that surround it.
I used a livery service to get here and the driver who took me here as well as brought me back to the airport had one heck of time finding the front door! Indeed, I had to jump out of the car at one point and speak to an employee before getting to the entrance.
Even funnier was watching the driver who came to take me to the airport circle the lot over and over again
