Even thought I was visiting Gloucester on business, I felt like I arrived in vacation land as soon as I sat on the deck with a tasty drink from the friendly Mile Marker One bartender. Not to mention the award winning chowder and fresh lobster. I will be bringing the family back, next time. This marina is top notch!

The wonderful staff, excellent food & amazing views totally make this place worthwhile! It's a quaint little hotel but in desperate need of some upgrades; like full length mirrors & wi-fi that actually works. The 4th floor penthouse is spacious but oddly laid out & be prepared for a treacherous hike up a very narrow spiral staircase; although the view from private deck is best seat in the house!
Overall we had a great time & need to mention again about how fabulous the entire staff was!! Especially the young woman at check-in & our servers at the restaurant & bar 😎

I have to preface by saying that the front desk staff was phenomenal. They were genuinely welcoming and kind, and were a great jump start to our trip. I also have to say that the room service went above and beyond. The room was clean and they went out of their way to completely restock us with towels and hygiene supplies each day we were there. The reason for the 3 stars is because the room is honestly just outdated and in need of some TLC. If you ran our sink it filled with water because the ptrap clearly had a slight clog. Our toilet also got stuck running and needed a few wiggles of the handle

The hotel room has seen better days. All pictures already on here are accurate, scuffed, dirty floor boards, dirty grout, chipped bath tub. No towel racks in the bathroom. Overall, the rooms give more of a motel vibe, than a resort vibe. A single chair outside your door to sit on the shared balcony. I would say this hotel should be more in the $200 per night range max, based on the state of the rooms. Location was good, in walking distance to stage fork park.

Maybe at one time this used to be a grand place, but now it's dated and old. The rooms are clean, though, with fresh white bedding and towels, and you can tell they've done whatever they could to keep things repaired and painted. The marina view is nothing to write home about, and when you're sitting on the balcony in a plastic chair by your room, you're looking right into the porch railing by the salt Marsh basically. Bring your bug spray! Big bonus that the rooms have a fridge and microwave though! The window AC unit keeps the room cool, but doesn't necessarily reduce the humidity and everything

I would never come back to this hotel. There are no towel bars in the bathroom. Where are you supposed to hang a towel? The hair dryer is attached to the wall and you must keep your finger on the “on” button to be able to use it. I did call housekeeping and they did supply me with a proper hair dryer. There is not proper shelving in the bathroom to put toiletries. The room was immaculate though and the beds were very comfortable.

Not what we expected for the money spent staying there. The balcony is not for individual rooms, cannot sit and have a cup of coffee. Was supposed to receive a change of towels etc and did not. The lamp that was between our beds was faulty...realize it the next day when my cell wasn't charged. It was just not worth it! The only thing we enjoyed was the restaurant. Very good food and the staff were great!!

Nice place. This is a nice hotel beautiful views but the walls are very, very thin. You can hear everything. People passing the room on the outside catwalk or hallway is so loud. My husband and I were sleeping and we're awoken by Fred Flintstone feet above us plus his loud conversation. Shower is warm but the tub is so creaky you don't know if you are going to fall through the ceiling or not. The restaurant is good. The wait staff is good depending on who you get. The fried fish on Fridays is a great deal and so good. Get the chicken parmesan rolls for an app you will not be disappointed

Overpriced and overrated. The water from the tap reminded me of freshly chlorinated pool water. The brunch was one of the worst I've ever had, cheap fake eggs and fatty room temperature sausages...nasty. The floors in the hotel are ancient and creaky, I heard every person's foot step in the floor above us.

Stayed here over MDW and enjoyed it very much. From check-in, everyone was super friendly and had smiles on their faces. The rooms were comfortable with all amenities needed. The bar at night with live music was great and an overall friendly atmosphere.
I accidentally left some clothes in the dresser and when I called them, they were very kind about it. They quickly got the clothes, boxed it up, and shipped it to me. I was expecting to pay a lot for the effort they needed to go through, but they didn't overcharge me at all! Definitely a well run family place and the service alone will have

I love this place. We went for a Valentine's get-away. Pool area is clean, staff is friendly and accommodating. So much so that the chef made a special meal for us because we were dieting and the waitress didn't make a face when decided to split it.
My one and only complaint is they didn't have tea available in the room and when by boyfriend went down to the complimentary coffee station, there was also no tea. When he asked the restaurant ppl for tea, they wanted to charge him. next time I'll be forewarned and bring my own tea, but they really should accommodate us tea drinkers
