Awesome and reasonably priced hotel on the waterfront to get an awesome night's sleep
Only complaint? I was promised to be haunted by the innocent souls of the wrongfully condemned... And nothing of the sort happened! If you're looking to get visited by the ghost of Giles Corey then I'm sorry I guess it just won't happen ๐ ๐ ๐

Terrible customer service as we requested a late check out one hour past the deadline and it was denied by the general manager ryan that stated that was their policy. I don't believe a hotel should have such a restrictive policy and use their brains to accommodate customers especially when they were not busy. We needed to change rooms as there was no heat the first night and subsequently heat in the room but not in the bathroom. Until they change their customer service attitude, I would not stay at that hotel.

PROS: This hotel had a nice location towards the center of the town. Nice staff, good food, and the rooms are nice
CONS: They had mice by the front door near their hay and corn stalks decorations. The place seemed to be run down (carpets, scrapped up elevators, beat up gym). The restaurant service is slow because they only employed one guy to take care of everyone and the food was slow.
OVERALL: I wouldn't recommend coming here until they fixed several aspects of this place, However, it wasn't that bad so if you do decide to come here it won't be a total let down

Loved this hotel when we visited in 2016. Disappointed this time around. Still friendly staff. Housekeepers did a great job with the cleanliness of the room. But:
*No hot water
*Room view was trash garage (garbage truck early morning under window)
*Room service had no coffee
*Shuttle that was offered as a convenience (a member of our party has a disability) wasn't operating
For the price paid per night it just seems time for some upgrades. The biggest plus is the location. Easy to get to Essex Street and Pickering Wharf. There aren't many hotels in this area so I would actually stay here if

We love Salem Waterfront Hotel. We have been visiting Salem every year since 2009. We stayed here in 2020 loved the convenience and location of the hotel and stayed here again 2021. They have a restaurant and pub on site...it makes it super easy if your traveling with children.
The staff are always kind and helpful and we love the Halloween decor.
We plan on staying here next year as well.

The rooms were nice. Definitely not worth 600$ per night but still nice. Only one thing really made this hotel an awful experience but it was, for me, extremely important. The man that is over parking was easily the most irritating old man Iโve met in my life. He all but called my partner stupid for asking him for help with parking. If Iโm paying $600 every night, I expect basic decency. Also, the hotel itself has an awful parking situation. If you have difficulty walking, you may need to find either another hotel or ask for accommodations, as the parking lot is not in the same place as the

This place really exceeded expectations! We came in as weary travelers spending a night in Salem - This was perfect. From the pleasant front desk service, to the fun Halloween decor, to the clean and comfortable rooms.
Reasonable prices, great location.
Even the pull out couch was super comfortable. We had a great night sleep. Huge thanks to everyone at this hotel!

We are paying $400 a night and there is no refrigerator or microwave. When we asked for one we were told it was another $25 a night to have one delivered.
The room is dirty with hair and grunge in front of the mattress. The toilet paper holder is so close to the toilet and behind it that it canโt be reached while sitting. The shower head is practically falling out of the wall. There are also minimum plugs for phones and computers. The one set of plugs is behind the mattress hence the disgust at how dirty it is back there.
I have had better hotel stays at half the price. I would recommend finding
