My boyfriend, father and I went out to eat here tonight and the food was amazing ! Brenda our server is such a sweetheart, hard working and very welcoming to our whole party. We ordered a 16oz steak, fillet mignon and the bourbon chicken were all cooked perfectly as asked and has great flavor. I highly recommend this restaurant and our server Brenda she’s awesome and went above and beyond our expectations.

They were very busy and short staffed so the wait was long however the Food was delicious!!! We ended up sitting at the bar and I felt so bad for the bartender because she was having to work the bar for the whole building along with the people at the bar and the tables on that side. She was awesome and I feel with all that she had to do she was handling it better than any other person I’ve ever came across. As far as the food goes, I hate cheese grits but wanted to try the fried green tomatoes and OMG it was so delicious. Tasted nothing like cheese grits and we ate all of it, by far the best

We had dinner at this restaurant this evening. We ate at the bar. The bartender, Lindsey, on her first day on the job did a great job, given the fact that the resterant was very busy and she was obviously overwhelmed and facing a learning curve. We shared a 16oz. prime rib. It seemed like a good cut of meat, but the "chef" did a POOR job of preparing it. The caeser salad was drowned in dressing. The store bought rolls were over heated. The only good thing about the meal was the mashed potatoes. Way over priced for the experience.

Fantastic holiday date meal! I ordered a 16 oz. Prime rib and my girlfriend ordered Grilled Salmon on creamed spinach with capers. Absolutely delicious. Prime rib was cooked to perfection and melts in your mouth. Salmon was amazing with the creamed spinach and capers. Gorgonzola salad was on point too. We also ordered a slice of chocolate turtle cheesecake.
****Highly recommend****
Place looks amazing too decorated for Christmas. Staff super friendly. We had a blast! Thanks to our server, Brian.

Has the appeal, but not the substance to back it up. Loved the interior decor and the fall decorations. However, the food was less than desirable. I ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and sweet tomato jam. The meatloaf was fairly dry, and I definitely had to forego the jam as it was super sweet and not to my liking in the least. My brother had the grilled chicken, which he said was "meh". His wife had chicken tenders and fries, which she said were good ... but its chicken tenders you can't screw that up! The server was a gentleman from California, and he was excellent

Was excited to eat here but when we went to the door there was a hand written note on the door stating that they weren't accepting "walk ins" after 5...since when do you need a reservation to eat at a place like that? No thanks. Very rude approach to simply stating that they obviously don't have enough help. Went right down the road to a Mexican restaurant, waited patiently, received excellent service, and tipped very generously. Your loss, J Arthur's.

For years we've been coming to Maggie valley and always noticed it was very full.
Until now we to waynesville 2 months ago and decided to finally try it and make a reservation . We arrived on time seated on time ,a very nice guitarist played while we read the menu. An awesome touch local restaurants should consider hiring a guitarist We were a bit skeptical had read some bad reviews . It is large restaurant but appears only sitting in one section . Definitely family style decorations similar to a crate and barrel . We ordered filet mignon and bourbon chicken everything was delicious the

If I were reviewing on steaks alone, Id give it 4.5 stars. The steaks were delicious; filet and bone-in ribeye were both tender, juicy and prepared exactly to order. Our compliments to the chef!!
However, only 3 stars are given based on overall ambience and friendliness of staff. There was no one to greet you at the door; yet signs all over saying DO NOT come inside until a hostess opens the door. Well after 10mins and a ton of ppl outside waiting in the freezing cold, it is more than annoying. Im hoping that was a 1 time incident but it added to the overall average rating

Good place to eat! Appetizers are huge! Salad dressings are delicious. Decent selection of beer. Ribs were moist and delicious. Salads were fresh. Tea was very fresh. Waitress was excellent and staff very kind and friendly. Cons: You have to wait outside to be seated and when it’s 30 degrees outside, that’s not fun at all. Prices were kind of high. We had one app. 2 soups, 2 salads and a rack of ribs and the Bill was $115. If the price came down some, this place would be perfect!

The atmosphere was great and most of the food was good as well! The only thing I didn't really like was the chicken. It was "marinated" in a light oil-like "marinate" with some seasoning. I didn't think it was very good personally but the fries were great, along with the cheese cake and onion soup! My fiancé really liked his meal!

After more than a handful of years riding by... hearing how great this place is, I guess it was just so built up that I found myself disappointed. What a great venue & property. But it comes down to food! And when you're in a tourist town but are locals from way back you expect to be wowed by the "best restaurant in the valley". The service was fantastic from entry to exit. We ordered from the regular menu as I just wasn't feeling it for a $49 steak or $37 special when we came in a couple of days before Christmas. I had the Chicken Piccata with a side of broccoli. She had

The waiter was very good, the food was fantastic, we had, ribs, chopped steak, chicken Marsalis and best cheese sticks ever!! Full social distancing in place and great atmosphere. Thank you for a wonderful birthday dinner experience for my son, he loved the train!

When I first got to this place it look really nice. The staff was very friendly and attentive enough that it was not a bother. The prices for this place is pretty up tight and clearly their target audience is people with a little bit more $$ in between prices. This resturant is pretty well kept and didn't get a chance to see if their bathroom is clean. Now with the food, I ordered some baby back ribs and they were fantastic. The meat just slide off the bones, good job chef, pretty rare to see that in a rural place. Overall I had a good experience and would totally recommend.

We liked that the sign on the front door said no entrance without a mask so we decided to get some take out from here. We still don't feel quite safe eating in during the pandemic yet.
I paid $40 with tip for a horrible burger and a boiled half rack of ribs. Very disappointed.
The burger was well done when asked for medium- we added cheese, bacon and onion rings making the burger a $18.50 dry puck. The bacon was crumbled bacon that maybe they use for salads? The brioche bun was slightly stale and very dense- think pumpernickel without any flavor. Oh yeah, no LTOP included and the extra
