Services
At Stummer Dental, our patients come first! For the past 30 years, Dr. Keith Stummer and his team have been committed to provide patients with expert, gentle care-with your dental health being our top priority. In fact, we've been the dental home for hundreds of your neighbors over the last thirty years, with offices in both Kenosha and Racine.
Dr. Stummer received his undergraduate degree from Creighton University. He graduated from Marquette University Dental School in 1985 and has been practicing dentistry in Kenosha ever since. Dr. Stummer honed his skills under Dr. Dawson at the Center of Advanced Dental Studies in Florida and completed his advanced studies in 1997.
Dr. Stummer does an exam on his patients at least yearly, but usually every 6 months. During the exam, he will examine each tooth for decay and need for restoration. He will also evaluate the need to replace or adjust any previously done dental work, such as fillings or bridges. He will check for gum and bone disease, such as periodontitis, as well as check for signs of oral cancer.
Most people would prefer to have whiter teeth to enhance their overall appearance. Whiter teeth look younger and healthier. Whitening generally involves removing stains and deposits which have developed in the enamel of the teeth. Yellowing teeth respond best to whitening. Brownish teeth don't respond as well to the whitening process and bluish grey stains may require up to six months of treatment.
By eliminating plaque and tartar from teeth, dental decay and gum disease can be kept at bay. Having your teeth cleaned by a Registered Dental Hygienist can help prevent cavities and reverse damage to gums and connective tissue holding teeth in place. More often than not, teeth are lost due to gum disease rather than decay of teeth.

They are all pleasant, personable and good at what they do. Very friendly place also. I needed a crown and they explained what was going to happen and what to expect from the start to the final placement of it. I used to hear horror stories from friends getting crowns and this was the same comfort level to me as getting a filling done. If I ever needed another crown I would not hesitate to go back and have them do it.
