We hope you'll stop by to meet Dr. Michelle DiStefano, and take a tour of our new, state-of-the-art dental office.

I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine. In addition to my course work, I did an oral surgery externship at the VA Hospital in Philadelphia and an oral medicine externship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, as well as the pediatric honor program at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
At Pleasant Prairie Family Dental, our primary goal is to do what is right for the patient. Our dental office is dedicated to providing the best dental care possible to both children and adult patients in the most pleasant and stress- free environment possible. Our success depends on making our patients feel comfortable in our office and to trust in our abilities and our commitment to their dental health.
We recommend regular exams at least every six months. By doing so, we can check for problems that you might not feel or see; we can find early signs of decay and treat it before it gets to a point where treatment might require further steps and more expense. When a patient comes for an oral examination, an oral cancer screening is done at the same time.
At Pleasant Prairie Family Dental, we treat Periodontal Disease in the least invasive and most cost effective manner. This is often accomplished by non-surgical periodontal treatment. The initial stage of treatment is done by doing a thorough cleaning that includes scaling to remove plaque and calculus beneath the gum line.
Professional teeth whitening under the supervision of a dentist is safe. The ADA recommends to have one's teeth checked by a dentist before undergoing any whitening method.
The dentist should examine the patient thoroughly: take a health and dental history (including allergies and sensitivities), observe hard and soft tissues, placement and conditions of restorations, and sometimes x-rays need to be taken to determine the nature and depth of possible irregularities.Invisalign, is the invisible method to straighten your teeth without conventional metal braces.

The girls here are FANTASTIC! I'm high maintenance at the dentist and they never make me feel like I am. Friendly, fun to chat with and most importantly good at their jobs, especially with COVID being an issue I always feel safe to keep my appt with them. Highly recommend this office to anyone who is scared of going to the dentist.

I switched dentists due to my last dentist having a HORRIBLE
"bedside manner". It's always a risk when going to a new Dr. However, from entering the office, I felt comfortable and at ease. Dr. DiStefano's staff from the front to back were wonderful. I absolutely loved Dr. DiStefano! I was having tooth pain and she not only made me feel like she cared but that she was going to get my problem taken care of. The solution was a root canal in a tooth that wasn't even hurting. I found it hard to believe but it was true! She explained why that happens and when I got that tooth taken care of...my pain

My family has been with Dr. Distefano for over 3 years. She has always been so warm and friendly!
I really appreciate how she always asks if I’m doing okay, during my visits, how she will call and speak with patients personally! Who does that these days? My kids love her! The dental assistant was so sweet and kind! I am excited to meet her hygienists soon! I cannot say enough about the back half of the staff!! I would encourage anyone to schedule a visit.

I had a scare at my last dentist (green bay family dentist) & they almost killed me. I told them I was on blood thinners & they did a deep root cleaning without my permission then used a robotic arm to give me numbing shots. During the shots my mouth filled with blood. I was choking & almost aspirated because I couldn't breathe.
So today was my first dental visit in 6 years as I have been hesitant to go back after that. Pleasant prairie family dental is very understanding & listens to you as a patient. They are very gentle, kind, & knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them to anyone who fears
