Dr. Layton is gentle. I've never had a dentist I could say that about. Usually, they're in there poking and prodding and swiveling our heads like they're on bar stools, but not Dr. Layton. Somehow he manages to do his job--and do it very well--without the torture. He doesn't seemed rushed either. Yes, there are other patients in the office, but Dr. Layton spends that precious time making sure his patients understand their oral care.
Maddie, the hygienist, is awesome! She knows her way around teeth like an admiral knows her own ship. Plaque be warned; she

Our dental insurance changed, then COVID, and we moved 15 miles away...triple whammy - ouch! Even with all this, I still could not find a dentist or staff as good as Dr. Layton's office. To make a long story short - I am back and don't regret the longer drive to my appointments. Totally worth it for the great service and excellent care!

I love this office! The entire staff is friendly and personable. They're so good at building an incredible rapport with their clientele. I recently had to have my crown replaced and the new crown fits better and looks better than the one previous! It feels fantastic! And it's a beautiful tooth! It matches perfectly. Dr. Layton is a wizard dentist! I could go on for days about how wonderful this office is!!! Don't hesitate to give them a try!!

My husband is the biggest baby when it comes to going to the dentist. I did my research and found Dr. LAYTON. I am so happy I did. He is the best dentist. He put my husband at ease and we were so surprised that all he needed was a cleaning and a mouth piece to keep him from grinding his teeth at night. The grinding was causing the pain and now that it's been a few months the pain has gone away. Another dentist quoted us thousands of dollars which I would have spent except that I felt something wasn't right and getting a second opinion from an honest dentist was the smartest thing I ever

I am one of those who avoids dentists at all costs...so afraid of the needles, the drills, the pain, and the dentist's condescending looks. I finally bit the bullet and went to Dr. Layton and a miracle occurred. He cured me of my fear of dentists.
First, he didn't ask me why it had been so long since I'd had my teeth cleaned- he was personable and upbeat with no condescending looks. I cannot say enough nice things about Dr. Layton and his staff. My family and I have been going to him for over 10 years. He is absolutely fantastic in every way. First of all he is beyond nice. He greets me with a big smile each time I see him. He knows dental work is not my thing and makes sure to tell me everything going on in order to keep me calm. He really is a kind man who happens to be a great dentist. You can tell he loves what he does. I have and will continue to recommend him to anyone.

I called Dr. Layton's Office as a new patient for a dental emergency (broken tooth sustained today at lunch) and I was pleasantly surprised that I was worked in immediately. From the initial phone call to make the appointment ,everyone was very kind, professional and understanding, as I was a bit nervous and upset. I was seen in a most timely manner and given a reasonable treatment plan with treatment scheduled as soon as possible. I believe that this has been the best dental experience I can remember ever having given my circumstances.

I hadn't seen a Dentist in over 7 years, possibly 8 because of my huge fear of Dentist's offices. My experience from the moment I walked in the door, to the chair, durning my exam and even the root canal was such a pleasant experience I was almost shocked. Checking back in nearly three years later, I can again testify to the excellence of Dr. Layton and his staff. This time it was a small "pinhole" cavity on one of my molars. It was down near the gum line and spotted during a routine cleaning. He had me in and out in less than an hour and there was no pain despite this issue being in a difficult-to-access location. More importantly, they spotted the problem while it was still

If I could put no stars I would. This Dentist was quick to tell my wife that her teeth required thousands of dollars($7k) of work and that she can easily apply for a Care Dental Credit Plan(he just happened to offer) to help her pay for these outlandish fees. Since then we called 2 Dentists and visited 1 and assured us that her out-of-pocket expenses(for the same corrective procedures) in their office would only be about $800. This office just has no shame in trying to rip off unsuspecting people trying to take good care of their teeth.

Dr. Layton is a great dentist, I actually travel from Imperial Beach for my checkups! (That's how great he is!)
First and absolutely foremost he is ethical and trustworthy. That is very difficult to find. I know that if I need work to get done, it is because it is a necessity and not because he wants to run my bill up. Awesome, right?!
Secondly he and his staff are absolutely the best. Smiling, happy, they all love their work, dig their job and really do care about their patients. Awesome people!!!
